Griffin Armament’s dedication to the never-ending pursuit of providing maximum value to customers knows no bounds. The development of the newest silencer in the GATE-LOK™ line is no different! The Griffin Armament 30SD-K was born from multi-level customer feedback that reported the desire for a shorter .30 caliber QD silencer.
Griffin Armament suppressors are on the cutting edge of the industry and trusted for their reliability. Unique to Griffin QD family silencers is the 30SD-K’s GATE-LOK™ mounting interface. The mounting system is one of the fastest on the market and accommodates USGI spec A2 compensators* (in 5.56mm) as well as Griffin’s proprietary performance-rich muzzle device options. The 30SD-K brings advanced CNC manufacturing, wire EDM, TIG fusion, and filler rod welding together in one full-spectrum product.Pursuing maximum performance, the design team incorporated Griffin Armament’s patented ECO-FLOW™ Baffle technology into the 30SD-K. The 30SD-K offers an incredible 127dB 300BLK subsonic sound signature, 136dB on 5.56mm, and 138dB on .308. The 30SD-K offers users a wide range of platform coverage from 7.62mm, 300BLK, 6.8spc, and 5.56mm using our variety of 30SD and GATE-LOK™ mounts. 5.56mm firearms are supported with this suppressor via the use of any of our GATE-LOK™ mounts in addition to compatible A2 compensators*. Additionally, the Gate-Lok mounting system does not suffer from the wear-prone issues of ratcheting systems common to the marketplace. This mounting system was designed to provide trouble-free use. 30SD and GATE-LOK™ mounts in the Gate-Lok family are precision ground to ten-thousandths of an inch for minimal, repeatable, and completely dependable point of impact shift. Built on years of development, the 30SD-K is the pinnacle of performance- the equal of the best competing products available anywhere in the world.
*Silencer interface was designed to fit the USGI A2 government contract compliant muzzle devices. Griffin does not guarantee fitment with an A2 style compensator due to the broad tolerance range of both import and domestic devices from various brands. For guaranteed fitment, we recommend the purchase of a Griffin mount.

This think is built like a tank. I have it mounted on a long barrel 7.62×39 AR. No issues with over gassing. Have put around 700 rounds through it with no issues at all, 4 or 5 full mag dumps via a binary trigger as well. It’s not the lightest or quietest can I have but I didn’t expect it to be considering it is a QD K can. It is everything I hoped for in a small but rugged package.

The Griffin 30SD-K is hands down the quietest suppressor on the market for 300 AAC. I did a ton of research and comparisons prior to purchasing and this suppressor has exceeded my expectations. It attaches and detaches easily, looks awesome, and does an excellent job reducing sound. When I shoot subsonic 300 AAC, the loudest part of the shot is the bolt cycling. No ear pro required. The suppressor also does a great job when I interchange it with my 5.56 and my AR-10. In my opinion, it reduces the decibels in those calibers better than any other suppressor in its size class, which is relatively small and light weight. You won’t be disappointed.

Use this on a bolt action .308, AR15s, and .22’s. Works very well for all. I can shoot my .308 without ear pro if needed, making shooting steel at distance a joy. No affect on accuracy, although a slight POI shift was noticed (expected. About .5 MOA). With the the AR15s actually seemed a little louder than the .308, likely just because they’re semi-auto vs bolt, plus the extra gas escape with a .223 in a .30 cal suppressor. Either way, I can shoot them without ear pro as well, but it is slightly uncomfortable. The .22s are super quiet with supersonic ammo, although you still hear the crack of breaking the sound barrier. I’ll have to get some subs to try in the .22s- would be “silent”. The included brake works well on it’s own- not as good as other larger brakes, but definitely cuts down recoil significantly. I also purchased the .223 brake for my ARs, love it as well- I can stay on target much better than with an A2. For all other rifles, I purchased cheap A2 birdcages to attach this to. This is my one drawback (4 stars)- it is picky about which A2s it will attach to. It did not fit on my stock Diamondback DB15 A2 birdcage (cheap), but did fit on my PSA birdcage. I ended up buying a few Aero Precision A2s for the DB15 and other rifles, and they worked- only $10 too. With both the brakes and A2s, they do get dirty pretty quick (expected)- recommend a stiff nylon brush and simple CLP right after shooting to wipe off the brake/A2. Otherwise the carbon will build up and eventually it is difficult to slide the suppressor on.
Highly recommend this product. Price is good, and it can fit on any rifle with a threaded barrel- just get a $10 birdcage. Definitely worth it over a full-size .30 cal can… I’ve been around a few of those shooting, and the difference is negligible.

This was my first can, got it run on. 300blk and 5.56. Since then I’ve run it on a 6.5 Grendel also. On the blackout it’s comically quiet, the cacophony of the bcg thunders above the report of the shot. On 5.56, especially shorties, you’ll still want a little something on the ears, but I think that’s par for the course with that caliber. The attachment is quick and easy, the Griffin mounts are best with their overtravel stops, but A2s work well too if they’re in spec (only on 5.56 though, there are no in spec .30 cal A2s). Cheapest QD suppressor mounts around

Of the A2 mount cans, this is the best I’ve used. 17.9 oz. on my scale. Low backpressure for a conventional can, better than my M4SDk, for sure. Low muzzle flash, about the same as a Chimera. My favorite non-threaded QD setup, by far. Only other mount on any of my rifles is the thread/taper one for my Plan-A cans. One of my favorite cans of any type. Its the only one I use most of the time on my rifles that have this mount, anymore.

Absolutely love this supressor. Highly recommend griffin armament. Very comfortable to shoot without ear pro, even on a 10.3 5.56 and 16″ 308. Follow n8sguntalk on Instagram and YouTube and chances are you’ll see this supressor getting ran.

I like it. The lock gate is cool but I would like it better if it had the option to change it out for a direct thread option or to use with one of my other qd systems. I can’t find any 30cal flash hiders or comps so I’m stuck with one muzzle device that I’m swapping on different guns.

Griffin makes solid products for a fair price, and they have a good selection of mounts for their cans. Even though the SD series is a little older design, they still perform very well across the board. The newest generation has the eco-flow baffles in them. I haven’t had a chance to do any low light testing yet, but I am confident it will perform well. 17-4 isn’t the best material for rifle silencer baffles, imho, but the 30 caliber versions hold up pretty good. Also, they will rebuild them for you if you actually wear them out.

Love the looks of this piece and the sound reduction is great

Good can for mid priced options, better than I expected. Impressive flash reduction for a 30 cal on a 556 which is mostly what I care about and not much blow back. Very quiet on my 300blk, not quiet on 556. The gatelock system is only as good as the device on your barrel, none of my A2s were within in milspec so it either wobbled horribly or wouldn’t lock at all. Easily remedied with a muzzle brake from griffin or a quick buzz with a dremel tool. 5 stars if it had a more durable finish, mine is already getting cooked and pealing at 500 rounds but patina looks cool I guess and that’s what really matters right…

E-File approved in just under 7 months with no issues!

Idk of any faster qd mount. And the sound reduction is better than I expected. Very impressed with the 30-sdk. I’m able to run it on my 8” 300BO and my 16” 5.56 with them both having the gatelok flash comp. Rock and roll!!!!
Yovanni M –
Great sound reduction, built like a tank, Gate Lok system is really nice to use because you can mount on any in spec A2 flash hider. The looks are just the cherry on top!

This is a nice can, works well on 5.56 and 300 Black Out. Good signature reduction. It is sturdy and well-made. I am happy with it. My only issue so far is that it is picky about what you mount it to. The Griffin break that came with it works great. But even high-quality A-2 flash hiders are a bit tricky. I have a LWRC that it mounts to, but it’s very hard to get off once you’ve put a few mags through it. It won’t mount to PSA A-2s or other cheaper flash hiders, but they do warn you that it needs to be NATO spec. It will mate to A-2 Flash hiders but it’s a bit of a hassle. I recommend some high-temp grease when you install it and let it come down to ambient temperature before you try and take it off. I was hoping you could use it on a bunch of guns per range trip, and you can, but you have to deal with the heat and use quite a bit of effort to get it off of a hot A-2. It comes off of the included Griffin break no-problem.
