The Ruger® Silent-SR® ISB features best-in-class materials and an advanced design, resulting in a lightweight, compact size and top-tier sound reduction. Compatible with the Ruger 10/22 Takedown®, 10/22 Takedown® Lite and 22 Charger® Takedown Pistol, the ISB replaces your entire TD front end with an integrally suppressed barrel. Keeping you above the 16″ regulation for a rifle length barrel, the ISB runs an internal 10.62″ rifled barrel and just under 6″ worth of baffles. Removing the baffles is very simple with the included 5/32″ hex key from the front of the barrel (while it is still installed on the forend).
Rapid Fire:
Reduces sound pressure levels of .22 LR to an average of 113.2 dB with standard velocity ammunition.
Lightweight for balance and portability. Once installed on the firearm, the center of gravity is close to the receiver, making it easy to maneuver and shoot.
Easy to disassemble and clean. All internal components seal together to keep the byproducts of combustion away from the tube. A single screw retains the baffles and cap within the sleeve and doubles as a removal tool. The included 5/32″ hex key tool allows the integrally suppressed barrel to be completely disassembled for cleaning.
Sleeve surrounding the 17-4 stainless baffles is matched to the forend for a clean, but distinctive, appearance.
Stainless steel barrel, baffles and front cap were chosen for maximum strength and serviceability. The aluminum sleeve is permanently attached to the barrel to minimize weight and maintain a minimum overall length.

It does a good job with noise suppression. It is significantly heavier than other integral models out there. I can deal with the weight but my biggest complaint is accuracy. I have tried 8 different brands of standard velocity ammo and the best group I can achieve (from a rest) is 1 inch at 50 yards. 100 yard accuracy is just luck. Its a good close range pest gun and fun shooter. The unique style of the barrel gets a lot of looks at the range. I had to modify a Magpul Hunter fore-end to work with the barrel shape.

It’s great to have silencer that is sort of integrated into the firearm. However it’s so heavy that it makes the front of the gun too heavy in my opinion. Overall a good choice if you want something integrated but just be aware that there are much lighter choices out there.

I received approval for my suppressor upper in April 2021. It is a great addition to my take down lower receiver. It has functioned with all sub sonic ammo that I’ve put through it and is really a quality suppressor from Ruger.

I love this addition to my 10/22TD! It would have been 5 star, but it only works well for sub-sonic and sometimes standard velocity ammo. Higher velocity are still pretty loud, with the expected sonic crack. Even some standard velocity is fairly loud. It would have been nice if Ruger would have ported the barrel to avoid the cost and limited availability of sub-sonic ammo. Otherwise, I love it!

A great option for 10/22 takedowns. Just a quick twist and you’ve got a silenced 10/22 that’s the same length as a standard one. The only reasons I can come up with one might look to a different option are a preference for mounting the optic on the barrel rather than the receiver (to eliminate possible zero drift from lockup variation) and I’m not entirely sure this the barrel is totally compatible with every aftermarket stock option (check before buying.) Other than that, this barrel is plenty adequate for .22 plinking and so quiet that shot counters have trouble picking up shots.

For a Ruger product, this is really well made and functions beautifully. It’s so nice not having to fuss around with a can and having it hang off the end, just grab and go all in one neat package. It’s definitely got some honk to it, and CCI mini mags still deliver a solid pop, but absolutely hearing safe and I’m sure sub sonics or lighter loads would be near silent. Other than being heavy, I’m frustrated that I can’t use any other takedown handguards due to the different dimensions of the barrel. Understandable, but I would love this so much more if I could replace the slick black plastic with a nice Hogue overmolded handguard. Regardless, for the money this thing is rad and so far function has been perfect and it’s delivered very tight groups with the CCI I’ve been using.
