Brad Butler –
So this was one of my first suppressors.
The company is top notch. The quality is top notch.
Initially, I wanted something built like a tank that would last indefinitely. The Surge meets those requirements.
Yet… as I’ve used it and learned more, it’s certainly a heavy, heavy can. If you can balance your firearm in a way that takes away the “top heavy” feel, then this will serve fine.
But if you’re looking to shoot freehanded, or partially braced, you may be better served with a lighter can as an option.
I find that the shorter configuration, although a decibel increase, is a better balance for hunting or off-hand shooting.
Overall a great can and company. Just heavy on the end of a rifle which can result in fatigue when precision is the goal. A tripod, or benchrest and it should be fine.

Awesome product. Great warranty.

Great sounding can couldn’t be any happier

Great suppressor! Makes my 243 very quiet as that is the only Gun it has been on so far. Will be using it on my Sig Cross 6.5 Creed as well. I have only ran it in its full 9” length so far as I’m not worried about total gun length.
Dan The Man –
Its a good suppressor for my 300blk, the “long config” is mostly useless though as there is only two baffles in it so there’s not much reason to use the long config. I’d like to see it more modular, changing the short configuration by 4 baffles instead of 2 would have been better imo

Currently using on 22-250, amazingly quiet will buy more of their products
Christopher D –
Awesome suppressor. I have used it on everything from a 22-250 up to a 30 Nosler and the sound reduction along with recoil reduction cannot be beat. Highly recommend this suppressor.
James M –
Love this suppressor, super quiet on my 300 Blackout even with regular ammo and even better with subsonic ammo. Haven’t used it with just the short section yet, my only
complaint would be the time it takes to get it but that isn’t Rugged’s fault
Christine F –
So pleased great product!
Nicholas H –
Excellent craftsmanship, very stout, and rugged indeed
Michael L –
Wouldn’t change my decision of purchasing this product even if I could. The only drawback is the weight, but the more I shoot with it, the less it concerns me. I’m very happy with the Ruged Surge 7.62.
Matthew Scott –
Paired with a dig rattler and subsonic ammo. Great results
Jarrett B –
It works as advertised. I have about 100 rounds through it so far of various calibers. I will update the review along the way.
Hunter Ford –
Will let you know when I get it. 1yr and 15 days waiting on approval
Update: Received in August, mounted to a Rem Model 7 308. Once I sorted out a slight alignment issue, it has shown outstanding performance. I have only shot in the full 9” configuration. Once you shoot suppressed you don’t want to shoot without it. Rugged customer service is fantastic, they really helped me sort out the alignment thing (found out it was the shim causing it). I have 2 Rugged cans and waiting on my 3rd. Love supporting a great company in my home state.

Windage weaponry is the best.

Rugged is hands down my favorite silencer company. The surge is a great can, if I could only own one 30 cal, this would be high on the list. Sounds very similar to my nomad l on 300 blackout subs, love it. Buy with confidence.
Zachary C –
I have nothing but love for Rugged products and this Surge is no exception. Every Rugged I own is built like a tank. The Surge is super quiet at muzzle and ear. Notably more so than my Razor 762(which I love on my hunting rifle) It doesn’t gas me too bad on my 9″ BCM 300 and its giggle quiet on my .308 bolt with subs. I rarely take it apart to run in the shorter configuration, but the ability to do so is nice if you want to run it on a hunting rifle where weight and maneuverability trump decibel reduction. Overall I’m happy to have another rugged in my arsenal. I plan to grab their SurgeX next.

the rugged surge is a well put together suppressor! it is so quiet on your 30 caliber rifles! a MUST BUY!

High-quality suppressor, the fit and finish are top notch.

This is an awesome suppressor! Built well and does what it’s supposed to do!
