The HRT 556 features the accurate, robust, and wear-free DUAL-LOK mounting system. The suppressor itself has minimal flash, weight, gas blowback, and yet has maximum sound reduction and strength. This suppressor also utilizes the ECO-Flow baffle technology which reduces back-pressure and increases flow, thus making the suppressor host operating system more reliable and unaffected by the silencer and providing cleaner air to the operator’s face.

You have a rifle that is 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington and wanted to select a solid performing suppressor. I selected the Griffin Armament DUAL-LOK 556 HRT. Primarily the decision came down to two primary reasons, a solid lock up for a consistent mount each and every time as well as a very durable construction so that it’ll handle hitting barriers and other obstacles even when hot. The design uses the same eco-flow baffle design of their DUAL-LOK 5, but is a tubed design instead of tubeless.
DUAL-LOK has three features to ensure a positive mount experience each time. A threaded interface with a taper and ACME threads, but also includes a three toothed collar that has three detent positions for lock/unlock on a the toothed section after the ACME threads. It’s not a ratchet mount, so these teeth will not wear down during the lifetime of the product, but ensures that the suppressor will not walk off the mount.
The results are excellent with a great balance of low gas and great sound reduction. I can and do recommend this suppressor for those looking for a durable and convenient suppressor to use.

I absolutely love this can. I have two Griffin HRT 5.56’s, one Griffin Dual-Lok 7, and one HRT 762. I shot them side by side with DA Sandman K, K with E-Brake, S, Sierra, Nomad L, and SiCo Omega 300, and none of them come close. The HRT 5.56 on an LWRC PSD 8.5″ 5.56 didn’t cause any ringing with a 5-shot group, unlike the other cans except the Nomad L. The Dual-Lok system is top tier and doesn’t move. You can’t go wrong with the HRT 5.56. The 762 is quieter, but not enough to justify the size and weight for a 8.5″ to 12.5″ 5.56 rifle. The DL 7 is great, but its benefits are more applicable to my LWRC DI rifles. Back pressure is low, and the weight is light. Overall, the HRT 5.56 is my favorite suppressor, and I will likely get more of them and more HRT 762s for my .30 caliber rifles. Don’t overlook Griffin Armament. Just because they don’t pay for reviews on YouTube doesn’t mean they aren’t amazing!

Excellent suppressor, mount system is by far the best on the market. This can only be my 11.5” is just as quiet if not more so than my 16” with a them turbo K. Little gassy but nothing unbearable . I’d highly recommend
