SilencerCo Sparrow 22 Suppressor
The can that kicked-off SilencerCo’s lineup still rules rimfire. A fully stainless build keeps weight to 6.5 oz and length to 5.08 in, with a slim 1.07 in diameter that lets factory sights clear. Its sealed, monolithic core slides out of the Multi-Part Containment sleeve for tool-free cleaning, carbon wipes away in seconds. Rated for .22 LR, .22 Mag, .17 HMR, .17 WSM, and 5.7×28, and full-auto on .22 LR, the Sparrow drops sub-sonic .22 LR to about 112 dB while shrugging off filthy bulk-pack ammo. Direct-thread ½×28 mounting pairs with SilencerCo’s Delta Adapters for odd-thread pistols. Quiet, versatile, and famously easy to maintain, this is the rimfire benchmark.

Travis Conboy –
cant say enough of how cool and quiet the sparrow is on my taurus tx22.
Casey A –
Works perfectly. My dog and I both love it. Will definitely be in the market for a larger caliber silencer.
tim t –
I’m really happy with the Sparrow! It threads on great, it’s relatively quiet (although not as quiet sounding as my B.O.S.S. El Jefe). That’s not a scientific comparison, but my ears tell me the Jefe is every so slightly quieter, or has a less harsh tone to it.
This pops on and off of all the different host guns I have (pistols and rifles) with ease and has great balance between first round pop and subsequent shots. It’s virtually identical, where on my DA Mask, there’s a slightly louder pop on the first round.
I’ve got about 300rds through it already and it doesn’t seem to loosen up or have any problems. Just a solid model all the way around so far! You won’t be disappointed if you get one.
Ronald B –
Using subsonic ammo, this little silencer works perfect. I just hear the action of the gun. Highly recommend.
Christopher C –
Going through SilencerCo was a breeze.
The Sparrow is a lot more silent than I anticipated, super light, and as a machinist of 30 years, the quality is spot on.
Very happy with the purchase and I received my stamp within 4 weeks of the purchase!
Christopher C –
Works well.
Ronald C –
This silencer is awesome. The fit and finish is great and it makes shooting even more fun.

Louis Carnell –
Easy purchase and the performance is excellent
Joseph S –
works great with subsonic 5.7 ammo ! its like shooting a bb gun
Barry N –
Simple design but does the job. Seems to be very durable as well.
JIM S –
I recently purchased the Sparrow 22 and it works great. If you use a subsonic bullet, you’ll just hear the cycle of your pistol. Very happy with this silencer.
Mitch Bauer –
Great for the price. The process with silencershop is easy and well worth it
Matt –
Absolutely love it very, very quiet
Russell R –
Another great product from SilencerCo!
Blaine –
Works great very quiet more than I thought quieter than my 177 gamo pellet rifle.Even with standard 22 lr subsonic is the same worth the money and even the wait will by again From Top Gun Harford County MD
Dakota –
Works as intended.
Gary Linker –
Great little silencer
Michael M –
Decibel rating is accurate and for the money, you can’t argue with the results. I would personally spend a little more and go with titanium for less weight and even better Decibel reduction as well as velocity capabilities.
Theodore Reynolds –
First suppressor for me, really like it. Great quality, takes the noise down considerably when shooting on my property and not startle the neighbors.
CHARLES BAILEY –
I love this suppressor , pellet gun quite and did not change point of impact on my ruger precision 22!
Allen Andrews –
Great price, good suppression with CCI subs on my 22/45.
Scott D –
Great fast service
Andrew L –
Great product, my Sig P322 with subsonic ammo is whisper quiet. Triggers LLC was great to work with and processed everything fast 5/5 stars.
Stephen B –
It is slim, the profile is similar to my Ruger Mk 4 and is not too difficult to maintain.
Donald M –
Great team to work with and very knowledgeable on there products and helping with your wants and needs.
Armand Parah –
Absolutely love this suppressor. It’s so quiet when we shoot CCI quite ammunition you think it was a bad round. I like shooting sub sonic CCI 1070 fps ammunition and it is super quiet but with a little more noise then the quite ammunition. Can’t wait for squirrel season this year. Fantastic product.
Walter T –
This was my first can and it was on sale at local gun shop. Americana arms explained the entire process and assisted me with the kiosk. Even though the can technology is 10+ yrs old it is remarkably quiet. I’ve paired it with the SilencerCo’s Ruger mark IV and couldn’t ask for a better combo. Thanks again to Silencer Shops and Americana arms stream line process I was approved in 2 days. Thanks again.
Fernando Goldman –
Really love how quiet this thing is on my Ruger 22. Very small and has a slick look! Keep up the good work and I’ll definitely be purchasing another one soon!
Robert Spriggs –
Great little suppressor. Running sub sonic 22 rounds it is extremely quiet. Perfect for the money well worth it.
Guest –
i love it. it works great on all my 22 rim fire weapons.
Stephen L –
Exactly what I expected, very quiet and works flawlessly
Dan Wood –
The sound is amazing and I really appreciate how easy it is to take apart and clean.
Samuel H –
Quiet enough for backyard practice without pestering your neighbors
Darrin A –
Customer service was outstanding at the Silencer Shop and J5 Outdoors. I have tried the Sparrow 22 on a rifle and couple pistols. I am pleased with the sound reduction. I am hoping to purchase additional products to get a firmer understanding of the materials used, the manufacturing process, and the overall designs.
Brian G –
Easy to use and clean. Meets expectations on sound reduction. Will consider another purchase. Thanks
Delton K –
Love this silencer. Can’t wait to purchase more from SilencerCo.
Michael M –
It works well, no issues cycling on pistol or rifle. On a Kel Tec P17 it sounds like a BB gun.
Jason R –
The sparrow 22 is super quiet, and easy to service. The sparrow housing is smooth and not fluted making it a better looking suppressor in my oppinion. For the money I don’t think you could beat the value of the sparrow 22.
Eric D –
Very impressive reduction in sound pressure (dBP) when firing 22lr pistol and 5.7×28 pistols.
However the O-rings did not last more than 20rds of 5.7×28 (the 4 star).
Highly suggested to order replacement O-rings to have on hand.
Douglas R –
Very pleased. Have really enjoyed shooting with this on my gun.
James A –
Very quiet on my bolt action 22. No “first round pop” on my setup but I know it’s not an auto. Very pleased so far.
Taylor P –
1,000rds in on a Ruger 22/45 and another 500 on an M4-22 Elite– no surprises. Noticeable first round pop (still very quiet), and it’s important make sure the two halves of the shield fit well over the monocore before reassembling it to get maximum performance.
Shockingly easy to clean, since the entire core can be held in the hand. Steel core can handle either sand blasting or ultrasonic.
The only issue I didn’t anticipate is the rear cap unscrewing a little after a few hundred rounds. The core itself will be screwed onto the barrel tightly, but the ring itself will have worked loose. Carbon buildup will probably solve this issue long term.
Overall, the Sparrow is exactly as advertised. Silencerco has been making this product long enough that the issues are either resolved or well known. I’ll likely pick up another one in the next year or so.
Bari H –
Great can! We have several 22 cans and this is by far the best (least) bang for your buck. Not as light as some others but extremely durable and quiet especially using subsonic ammo. This is my second Sparrow for a bolt gun and I love it. One on Christensen Ranger 22 and one on Bergara carbon 22 mag.
Joe Karpinski –
Really thrilled with this. I have others like it that cost 3x more and perform identically.
Bryan S –
Very satisfied, works great!
Jason S –
About as quiet as it CAN get. Hahah the Sparrow 22 turns my .22 into a staple gun. Seriously quiet, after the first round.
Doug A. –
Sparrow 22 is just the suppressor to take the fun level up to 10! Makes plinking that much more fun. And it works great on my Ruger 10/22 and M&P 15-22 as well as handguns. Very versatile and puts a smile on everyone’s face when they shoot with it!
Daniel C –
This suppressor is definitely a great bang-for-your-buck and the quality is very good also. The only con is the weight but it’s still hardly an issue.
Liviu Potra –
Truly, the best for the money
TOM R –
I bought this to use on a 10/22 and a Buck Mark, and I am very happy with it after ~1000 rounds. I normally shoot CCI suppressor and it is quiet enough to plink off my back porch without upsetting the neighbors. Great little can.
Paul F –
I’m using it on my 17HMR and it is so quiet. I definitely recommend one for shooting varmints
Miguel Oria –
A little expensive for a small caliber plus the stamp
Alejandro –
This suppressor is truly a piece of work. I’ve had it for just a couple of weeks and have already put around 2,000 rounds through it, using all different brands and types of .22 LR. Every shot has been impressively suppressed—it’s truly Hollywood quiet. I highly recommend it to all gun enthusiasts out there. The price is affordable, and the benefits are outstanding.
Hottrod –
as with all suppressor I have gotten all have been great
TIM W –
It exceeds my expectations very nice product and I thought it was a nice price My host

Sparrow 22 Suppressor complements my host perfectly
customerkurt –
It works great wasn’t as quite as I thought it would be but iam happy with it great product
MICHAEL –
Love this silencer. Sparrow 22 didn’t even affect my zero. And for the price of $299 plus $200 for tax stamp, I’m very happy with it. I’ve got about 100 rounds thru it, and doesn’t even need to be cleaned yet.
Jason Vermeiren –
Tried and true! Does exactly as it’s designed.
Billy Starkweather –
The difference this makes in the sound is amazing. Quieter than over-the-ear protection. We put a couple hundred rounds through it and it makes for an enjoyable time knocking down targets.
Gene Smith –
Have used it on my TX22, 10-22, and Mark lV. No problems whatsoever. Just be warned you may find yourself giggling more.
Scott H –
As advertised. Amazed. Shooting all you hear is the round stricking the target. Very pleased.
James Mc –
My first suppressor to own. It works flawlessly, significantly reducing the decibel level. Love it!
Joseph W –
High quality product! Easy disassembly.
Bruce –
Great suppressor, great value. Greatly impressed with it. Makes shooting my .22 like a completely different firearm.
I would recommend this suppressor to anyone looking for one.
Chad V –
Very nice for the money very quiet and easy to clean.
Todd O –
My first suppressor and I’m impressed! For 22s, which it’s designed for, it is unbelievably quiet. With subsonic rounds it’s almost silent. Only problem with subsonic rounds is that I’d need to replace the springs on all 3 weapons I tried (2 handguns AND my S&W MP15/22) as none of them would cycle which is NOT the fault of the suppressor obviously. Even with regular rounds however it is really really quiet. Definitely feel I could shoot without ear protection even with regular rounds. It’s also very easy to take apart to clean and I’d recommend cleaning it every time you shoot if more than 10-15 rounds. It gets dirty fast. I love this suppressor!
Matt –
Great product that is a ton of fun to shoot.
Robert O –
The SilencerCo Sparrow is just what I was looking for. Works great with my 10/22 and is very easy to clean and maintain.
Corinth W –
Absolutely enjoy using the sparrow 22 can, works extremely well on both my rifle and pistol using CCI subsonics. This can is very quiet and easy to clean and maintain.
Carl –
The suppressor works well. Definitely good for your hearing.
John Wright –
I really like the Sparrow suppresser, I have it on a Ruger 22/45 lite and it’s really quiet. Money well spent in my book.
Scott F –
Very nice suppressor, good build quality and works extremely well. I bought this to use solely on a rifle, and have noticed no FRP. Works as well on a rifle as my more “modern” cupped baffle stack type, which I plan to use primarily with a pistol. For the money, I think the Sparrow is hard to beat.
J.B –
The company keeps you updated during the process in a timely manner, once the paper work was processed from the dealer to the ATF I received the suppressor in 15 days.
The suppressor is very quite and a great value.
David C –
Nice and lightweight very much quiet highly recommend
Michael R –
Great little suppressor. Easy to clean. Built tough and within a nice price range.
New User Jeff –
First time ever going through the process and despite the odd hurdles and all the various tax stamping, approval this and that, forms, 311th finger printing, etc. it’s all worth it – I never want to shoot unsuppressed again! I can shoot on my property and although my neighbors have never complained I dislike advertising it – even with standard ammo it’s so quiet nobody knows the difference. I’ll be ordering a 2nd one shortly for my .22 long gun All I can say is, if you are on the fence, just do it – you won’t regret it.
Billy W –
BEST OF THE BEST FOR THE MONEY LOVE IT
Paul K –
Works great
Richard M –
This is my fist can. Im absolutely impressed
Jesse F –
Awesome little 22 can . Loud frp (first round pop). Built tough ,
Tony B –
Works great!
Terry Cauthen –
Excellent suppressor. The Sparrow 22 is very quiet and easy to clean.
James –
I have been trying to get a Sparrow for some time now and I walked into my dealer and they had one. I applied for my tax stamp and received my approval in three days. This is the second silencer that I’ve bought through Silencer Shop.
Robert Song –
Very nice made. Very durable and clean machine work. The weight is also nice and light.
Danny –
I couldn’t believe how quiet this supressor is. On a 10/22 shooting subsonics, all you can hear is the action reciprocating and the target getting hit. Equally amazing on a pistol. The supersonic were almost as quiet on the pistol.
FRANCINE GLASSMEYER –
I use it for its intended use, quiet. I have shot for years with ear plugs and muffs. I have extremely sensitive ears. Now I can even shoot with nothing in my ears.
Michael D –
Very happy with my purchase. Recommend with full faith you are gonna be happy with your suppressor
James C –
Works really good easy to change from gun to gun works great on ruger 22/45 and ruger 1022.
Craig G –
My first silencer, couldn’t be more pleased!
Jason M –
Like a little birdie…quite!
Michael A –
Great Supressor, high end quality top shelf
Ethan E –
Has definate frp on tx22 pistol but very minimal on ar22 rifle. Seems almost as quiet as the switchback will getanotherwhen stamps go away
Todd –
Highly recommend adding the Sparrow 22 to your silencer collection. Seems to be picky on which ammo it likes and what it is attached to. On the end of the G44 it was inconsistent but on a Ruger Precisson it was whisper quite round after round.
Michael L –
Was surprisingly good. Already had one from another company and this one blew the other one out of the water. It will definitely keep the sound level below hearing protection level. Works well with .22 and .22 mag. nicely. Haven’t had a chance to use it on .17HMR yet.
Jeremiah K –
First silencer so nothing to compare too. It is easy to use and gave me the noise reduction that I was expecting. Did not realize that there was such a thing as first shot pop. This is with all silencers though not just this one.
Peter C –
This product is extremely effective. Prior to fitting it, there was a fairly loud noise (I know it’s all relative, since we are talking about a 22LR, after all) even with subsonic cartridges. Now, the only sound heard, is the impact on the target.
Kevin H –
………. ……… .
John B –
Easy, quiet and effective
Jan Pena –
Highly recommended to all folks out there to get this SilencerCo Sparrow 22 Suppressor, good quality and super quiet
Cortney C –
Love it !!
Tyron P. Petifer –
I love the Suppressor, I might upgrade later on.
Jay Madison –
Such an easy process. Super quiet, clean looks. Very happy with this one!
Michael Shaw –
Great suppressor and very quiet with sub-sonic ammunition. I especially like the small diameter, which allows me to use factory sights. Disassembly for cleaning is very easy.
Connie W –
Love this little 22 sparrow! It’s quiet and is exactly what we wanted and expected! Great choice!
Jason H –
Great purchase
Kevin Q –
This is the best bang for your buck. I am glad I decided on the Sparrow for my suppressor. I will be purchasing more in the near future.
Richard W –
Best hearing protection out there. With 970 fps ammo, less noise than a pellet gun.
Robert M –
It works well for what it is
Todd B –
Great suppressor and very light weight. Makes shooting fun.
DAMIEN SANCHEZ –
I recently purchased an Tippmann M4-22 Micro Elite “Bug Out” Pistol. My dealer (Fun Guns) recommended the Sparrow 22 Suppressor. It’s a fantastic combo! The Sparrow is so quiet with standard velocity 22lr our herd of pets goats don’t even flinch when I shoot. If your familiar with goats you’ll understand how quiet the Sparrow is.
Lanny Greenberg –
The Sparrow 22 suppressor I purchased has delivered the performance I had hoped for. Light, effective, and simple to disassemble for cleaning.
Zachary R –
Awesome can! I enjoy my other cans, but this one is the best. Good job SilencerCo
Vincent R –
This little gem is an absolute hoot to use. Small, light and just a joy to shoot! This suppressor is rated for .22 LR, .22 Mag, .17 HMR, .17 WSM and FN 5.7 × 28 calibers which means I need more guns to make use of this fantastic little Sparow. You won’t regret it at all!
Kyle S –
This suppressor is an excellent value for the price. I can completely strip it down and clean it thoroughly without any difficulties. I am satisfied with choosing those one over the on piece suppressor that was about $50 cheaper.
David D –
Exactly what I’ve come to expect from Silencerco. Great craftsmanship and functionality. This Sparrow 22 along with my 46M allow me to run the full gambit of suppression.
Robert S –
Very nice suppressor. Well made. The first shot on a cold suppressor is louder than what you would expect but the following shots sound like a pellet gun. Could not tell any sound difference between 22 short and 22LR suppressor ammo.
Troy S –
Good can for the money am happy with the purchase
Troy S –
Great can cant beat the price for a good serviceable can
