   What attracted me to this suppressor is that it is supposed to be as quiet or quieter than the Polonium but with less backpressure. I also found it to be lighter and more compact than the Polonium.
   However, in actual testing with an untuned DI 10.5″ AR15 (I did this on purpose to test the Ventum 762), I found the Ranger 5 to be comparable to the Polonium maybe a tad quieter with a tad less backpressure. Cases still ejected at 1 o’clock like the Polonium.
   The end cap came loose and there’s no way to tighten it without the AAC flash hider tool that is out of stock everywhere. As of this writing, AAC claims 6-8 weeks for the tool to be made. Why they didn’t include a substitute tool or perhaps use spanner holes or flats is beyond me.
   The Ranger 5 baffles use holes around the baffles to help reduce backpressure and you can see it with the end cap removed. However in actual testing I found it not to be all that impressive over the Polonium. I could tune my SA AGB and set it to 42 clicks, but the Ventum 762 works without any tuning and gives you the same reduced bolt speed and gas as if you tuned the AR15.
   Overall I recommend the HUXWRX Ventum 762 over this if you are interested in reduced backpressure.
   If you are concerned about sound, I couldn’t tell a difference between the Resonator-K (which is one of the loudest cans) and the Polonium, Ranger 5, or Ventum 762 with my ear protection.
