Built for hard duty, the Dead Air Sandman S runs a welded Cobalt 6/17-4 core inside a stainless tube for extreme strength yet stays compact at 6.8 in and 17.7 oz. The KeyMo quick-detach system locks up solid in two twists and keeps point of impact steady. A user-replaceable R-Series front cap adds insurance against baffle strikes, while a 30-cal bore handles everything up to .300 RUM with an impressive 4200 ft-lb energy rating. There are no barrel-length restrictions and the can ships full-auto rated in both Black or FDE Cerakote finishes. Minimal blow-back, proven durability, and dead-simple mounting, this is the Sandman performance you know, trimmed for everyday carry.

So my wife and I bought one each for our rifles. Easy to install once the muzzle device is professionally mounted, and easy to remove. Not so heavy as to make you feel like you’re holding a can of 50 cal ammo, when you’re using it for several hours at the range. As with all suppression devices they heat up quickly, however they cool relatively quickly and can be handled. Overall sound suppression is decent for standard rounds, still need ear protection. The recoil control is absolutely great. And as far cool guy looks, it’s an 11 out 10 when mounted on a Daniel Defense.

Bought this to go on my ar10 and if you are looking for quiet, this suppressor will but it on the edge of that. But on an ar15 it quiets it down a bunch.

The wait is worth it and the process wasn’t that bad for dealing with the government. Had the muzzle brakes professionally installed, attached the can put a few rounds through it, the best hearing protection out there. Can wait to purchase one for a hand gun.
