The Raptor is AB Suppressor’s flagship silencer that comes in a variety of lengths/configurations that serve as a solution to the multi-gun and multi-caliber dilemma suppressor owners endure. The Raptor 8 uses AB Spiral Technology which is designed to be more efficient than conical baffles. By peeling gases off the bore and sending them into a spin, it effectively burns off the energy rather than trying to stop it. The reduced pressure also creates a much lower tone, making for a better shooting experience.
Each Raptor suppressor connects via the provided Reflex mounting system or flush mount. The Reflex mount allows the suppressor to take advantage of the area around the barrel to significantly increase the blast chamber volume, without adding additional length to the weapon system. You can also utilize the Raptor Adapter to convert the base threads of the suppressor to the industry standard 1.375×24 thread pitch for use with a wide array of QD mounts.
Manufacturer’s Note: AB Suppressor does offer reflex swaps for custom reflex sizes within their capabilities (1″ to 5″, Standard barrel or bull barrel). Sound reduction is the same as another suppressor of same length. But the weight reduction is worth every penny.

Light weight and good quality/aesthetic. Reasonable suppression like most other 7.62 cans. Compared to the warthog 7.62, this suppressor falls just a little short due to price. It would also be nice if the raptor 8 came standard with the 3 prong flash hider instead of having to purchase that extra.
I don’t know how much of a difference the reverse blast chamber makes in terms of suppression but it makes the setup look pretty cool.

AB Raptor 8 w/3” reflex, 7.62. I really like the raw db reduction. It’s still not as good as my Hyperion, the king of raw db, in my book, but very close. It is a much more compact package sliding back over the barrel in full configuration, a couple inches really do mean a lot. The threads on the caps can be very tricky to thread on, super fine and small. Retail packaging was adequate. 4stars for value because, mufflers shouldn’t be this expensive for anything, not just the AB brand. I am currently using it on a 6arc bolt gun and have had zero issues. Point of impact shift was negligible if at all. Nothing has backed off or loosened yet either, very pleased with that! The tone is nice to my ear. I cannot perceive a first round pop either, but I’m already mostly deaf in one ear. I doesn’t wake the Mrs at night when I shoot coyotes off the back porch. All in all, it’s a great product that should work for most anyone.
