6 stars for the size – 4 stars vs cans that are 1, 1.5″ longer – but for compact and won’t blow your ears out, it is an amazing piece of tech.

This was suggested to me, as my first suppressor, and without any real experience with them I went for it. The process of ownership was easy and the suppressor is even easier to use! The adapter fit perfectly. The quick disconnect operates just as described. I’ve only run 20 rounds through it but so far, I have very happy. Definitely going to consider another for my smaller caliber rifle, in the near future

Little context on my purchase, decided to get a .30 cal can for the sake of versatility if I wanted to swap it around beyond my 5.56 carbines. Primary host is a 10.5 in. carbine set up for use under NODs and it works well. With the 5.56 endcap I have practically no discernible muzzle flash and far less concussion that with a muzzle break or even a flash hider. That said, it is by no means hearing safe on that short a gun. For me, that was never the goal, so I’m happy with it’s performance. Surprisingly, after tuning my gas system down appropriately, it’s not even that gassy, very pleasant to shoot. Great starter can if you’re aiming for everything a can offers other than literal sound suppression in a light and maneuverable package. I’ll probably end up getting a dedicated 5.56 can for the carbine and swap this over to a longer SPR build (.308 or 5.56) in the future.

Well made and very durable as most Dead Air/KG Made items. Happy with fitment of the Keymo on all of my adapters. Sound suppression is significant for the size of the suppressor. Especially so with subsonic ammunitions. Finding a suppressor cover is the only difficulty I am experiencing so far.

Nobody paid attention to what they were sending out, so after having waited I received a damaged suppressor. Dead air is going on two weeks now with no action, this is a really crappy situation and super frustrating after having waited. All silencer shop can do is accept a return and start the whole process of waiting over again and there’s a snowball chance in hell I’m gonna sign up for that mess. Dead air doesn’t answer their telephone and it’s not even possible to leave a Message, I am super unhappy with this whole situation
Rafael R –
Great at what it does, not a whole lot of backpressure. Not too heavy and only added a bit of length to the rifle!
Hamiton H –
Great for weight savings, recommend adding the ebrake and flash hider to make it complete. If your looking for great sound suppression, this an’t it.
Richard H –
The product is probably good however the salesman told me it would fit the gun I purchased from him. It doesn’t fit and I have to make another trip to hopefully get it right
William C –
Same quality as my Sandman L and S. This one is for my 300blk Pistol and is nice because of the shorter overall length. I have added a Deadair E brake (doesn’t make it quieter at the ear, but does change the tone and makes it easier on the ear).
This Suppressor is not the lightest but it is a tank, and you will not have to worry about host caliber (as long as it is a 30cal) or barrel length. Highly recommend this can.
Craig E –
Great product with a compact durable design
Tyler J –
Great short little can, wasn’t expecting it to be the quietest of course but I love I can throw it on more then just one of my rifles. Fits nicely on my 300BLK.
Skylar W –
Suppression with this suppressor is minimal- which is to be expected due to it’s small/short stature. It is incredibly robust which is why I’m giving it 5 stars for quality. However, I have to give it two stars when it comes to “value for money” because the suppression is far less than I anticipated. Additionally, it’s actually INCREASED the visible muzzle flash from the end of a 16″ 5.56 which seems counter-intuitive. I’ll be swapping the 30 cal end cap for a 5.56 end cap to see if it makes any difference, but my experiences with this suppressor so far are in a word: underwhelming. I would suggest the Sandman-S or L if you’re interested in these suppressors.
Jacob F –
I’ll be straight up, this suppressor isn’t made for near full length or full length 5.56 rifles. I imagine it would go perfectly with a .300BLK build, but its simply too short to effectively suppress my rifle, which is a 13.7″ p&w. Now, it DOES take almost all of the bite out of the report, but it’s still hearing damage-levels of loud. Now, with a 5.56 flash hider end cap and an ebrake, the suppressor goes from disappointing to completely manageable. Overall, I’m a little bummed that I had to spend extra money to get proper sound and flash suppression, but overall I’m quite happy with my purchase.

Does what it is supposed to do and takes the edge off. If you want movie quiet with subs, get a longer can. DA fit and finish is gtg as usual. 8.3″ BA 300 blk barrel, 220 gr subs at about 1050 fps and it’s hearing safe outdoors and tolerable indoors. I can’t comment on supers, but I would definitely buy it again for the above application.
Scott P –
Not the quietest suppressor out there but it’s tough and comes with the muzzle brake so installation was easy.
David B –
Dead Air said it best about the Sandman-K “ Built for fighting, not hiding”. This is a great suppressor for its intended purpose. I added the Dead Air E-Brake and installed this on my 16” AR-15 for coyote hunting. Overall I’m happy with the results. Enough noise reduction for hunting without adding to much weight and length.
David Marcelli –
This is a great product, the construction is perfect and the mounts are great! Very happy with my purchase.
Dustin Z –
Nice can good bang for the buck, wish it came with the flash hider end cap as standard.
Edward A –
I want to thank Crosshairs and the silencer shop for helping me to receive my suppressor. From shop to hands in less then 3 weeks. It was a smooth process even during the holiday’s. I purchased my suppressor on the 23nd of December and got the call to pick it up on the 8th of January. I’m sure next time I’ll be even faster!
Andrew T –
Had minor issue with the mount but an email to customer service got it resolved extremely fast. Top tier for the class it’s in.
