Good quality can, and it’s stupid quiet. It’s on a 300 Blackout single shot CVA Scout right now because it’s just so much fun to shoot. This is my 4th can and probably my favorite so far. Transfer took 18 days in my trust. Would give it 5 stars overall if it would’ve come in the case that CGS ships them in. Got mine in a plastic sleeve with a pair of socks.

A bit long but necessary for the performance you get out of this thing. Tamed down a 7PRC noticeably. It is dedicated to a bolt gun so I am not running the vented front cap and cannot speak to that. But regarding the debris from the internal coating process there is some, but I just ran a snake after each shot for the first 10. Then once again after the next 10. After that, it’s been pretty clean. The more I shoot it the better it seems to get.

Overall fit, finish, and weight were superb. The patterned milling made gripping and attaching the suppressor easy and without tools. I primarily purchased this for use on my Remington 6.5 Creedmoor precision chassis rifle, and it’s the quietest and best performing suppressor I’ve shot through on it yet. I haven’t made decibel measurements yet, but as a general comparison the barrel report has been reduced to less than that of a .22LR shooting match ammo through a bull barrel. I could have been shooting comfortably with no hearing protection had it not been for unsuppressed firearms on each side of me. The sonic boom from the round is still substantial but is secondary and down range. I was using 147gr. Hornady ELD Match ammo with a muzzle velocity of 2,695 fps. Rifle accuracy was not affected as I was consistently shooting within or better than the .75 MOA certification of the rifle. Would 100% recommend this suppressor to friends and acquaintances.

I’ve been shooting a 24 ruger with it on. It’s works as advertised and suppresses the sounds well. I’m pleased with it so far
Jeffrey H –
Great silencer! Great on the ears on the range and great in the field on the hunt!
John H –
Amazing!
Quiet, lightweight and super cool looking.
Makes my 300PRC and 308 sound quieter than a 22lr. Movie silent on my 300 Whisper (AKA 300 Blackout).
Devon D –
Holy. Sh**. I shot a Ruger American in 300blk with 190gr Hornadys in the basement and it sounds the same as 22lr high velocity suppressed out of a pistol. Amazing can, would 100% recommend especially on a bolt action for hunting.
William G –
It’s so quiet on a .30 cal bolt rifle. Order was placed and processed to my FFL within 7 business days. Silencer Shop makes it so easy. It was also on-sale, so with Tax Stamp, it was normal
price, which is nice.
Jordan S –
Bought as my first suppressor, definitely will be buying another. I used this on my .300 blk AR pistol, it is super quiet with sub ammo. Everyone at the range was asking what I was shooting, and were interested in the suppressor.
Johnathan M –
Used it on my 308, subsonics are as quiet as a pellet rifle, and the super sonics are extremely quiet, quieter than unsuppressed .22, if you shoot once or twice with supersonic loads without hearing pros you’ll be ok, but wouldn’t recommend if your doing a lot of shooting
Daniel S –
Very good suppressor it has good quality. Just wish the pricing was a little more competitive.
Keithan C –
Works well for the price

So far, so good. Shooting 220gr subs out of a CMMG Dissent 300 Black, 6.5” barrel. Still dialing in gas, but I’m happy thus far with the can. The entire process with the Form 4 took about 3 days over the Thanksgiving Day week. I was shocked. My dealer had the kiosk and it was awesome.
Timothy M –
Just used it for the first time this weekend and loved it.

This is my first suppressor so I don’t feel like I am a good review source. Anyway, I choose the cgs based on the pew science rankings vs available. Seems like the good ones are back ordered.
The only gun I have had it on so far is a 28 Nosler. The gun originally was very loud with a brake, but now sounds more like a 22. We haven’t shot any groups to test accuracy yet. What we did notice was it kicked more and we are getting a tight bolt lift now with slight ejector marks on the case. I know we were at max pressure on our reloads and thankfully we didn’t load any hotter than the reloading manual.
Thomas S –
The CGS is incredibly quiet on my 6.5 creedmore. I can shoot without ear protection and it does not bother my ears at all. The poi changes slightly but not much. If you are precision shooting you will have to dedicate this can to your scope.
As you can see from the pictures it is very large. I think this is fine for bench style shooting but it could be a little cumbersome on a mobile AR.
The direct thread makes it easy to use plus you do not need to purchase other parts to attach. If you’re looking for decibel reduction this CGS will not disappoint. I have not tried it on my ar-10 but when I do I will update this review.

My 1st supressor purchase.. And it seems like I’ve started near the top.. More than impressed at the quality and the performance.. And even quieter than I expected.. definitely looks great on my Browning 22-250
Charles K –
Unbelievable quiet

Good product.

Amazing suppression! Incredibly quiet on Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro, 6.5 mm Creedmoor. I really like the ability to easily switch out the front cap to allow some flow through and reduction in gas blow back on semi-auto guns. Great for gas guns with very little reduction in sound suppression. Excellent quality. Great finish.
Richard L –
I mounted this can on my Ruger Precision .308 – This suppressor is quietest can I have ever owned. Zero blow-back, reduced recoil, and extremely high quality. I would highly recommend this can. If fact I liked it so much I went ahead and ordered a Helios QD in 5.56 for my AR15.

This is the Quietest Suppressor that I own or that I have ever heard in person one thing that people do not talk about too much is recoil suppression on my seven mag. It worked every bit as good as my muzzle break. It is a little bit long overall, I will be buying another one.
Ronald H –
I put this on a bolt action, long range 6.5 Creedmoor and it is excellent in sound suppression and had minimal POI shift. It also reduces muzzle jump to see impacts at distance too. I gave it 4 stars for value because everywhere else where suppressors are not regulated they cost a lot less.
Scott W –
Finally got a chance to use this can and it did not disappoint. sub sonic rounds were movie quiet. Almost comical. regular rounds were tamed enough to keep the neighbors happy.
Jody E –
I got my Hyperion suppressor and couldn’t wait to try it out, and I was very impressed with it. I got the 9.5 inch and it does exactly what they say it does. It suppresses the noise extremely well and it also helps with the recoil. I was shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor and it felt like I was shooting a 204, needless to say I was very impressed. It was also very accurate. I would highly recommend this suppressor.
Thaine Creitz –
The Hyperion is a spendy but very effective suppressor. Checkout the review on Pewscience.com for all the details. Time will tell if 3D printed Titanium is durable as other materials. The end cap is replaceable with a ported version that works well with gas guns. This one has a direct thread 5/8″ mount. While not as flexible as other suppressors, 5/8″ is common enough that this will work on most of my rifles. At 9.5″ long, it adds length to the platform but is surprisingly light. Perfect for that loud 6.5/.30 Cal rifle with a brake that has been abusing everyone around you at the range. Ditch the Brake and get suppressed!!!
Jesse P –
Loved the Hyperion K I had purchased for the 6.5 creed so much that i bought big bro here to put on a 300 WM. I have not been disappointed what-so-ever. Highly recommend this and the K version.
Tyler R –
This thing is whisper quite, I’m talking no ear pro with sub 300s is comfortable. Given its high price its hard to give it 5/5 for value but its truly the best suppressor I’ve ever used.
Ian Lawton –
Great can for bolt actions.
Don –
I very rarely write a review. In fact, I probably have not written one in years but today is the day. This suppressor is AWESOME!, I have a Seekins Havick Pro 6.5 PRC that was and is great but required ear protection! Not anymore, this is the quietest suppressor I have ever heard or used! No need for ear protection!! It’s so light you do not notice it on the rifle! If you are in the market for a suppressor, do not hesitate, buy the CGS Hyperion!!
Cam –
For starters… Sound quality? Phenomenal. With subsonic ammo & a jp silent captured spring only added, all you hear is the action & ricochets if there are any. Click Click Click.
Packaging? Absolute garbage if you ask me. It came in a cheap plastic tube case & had leftover metal shavings in the case… The letters on the suppressor looked filled with fabric & dirt for some reason. For a $1300+ suppressor. Garbage. No way around that. I got a sticker & some socks though yippee.
There’s a break in period. It’ll jam hard at first & I haven’t shot it enough yet to break through that point… Must be that remarkable engineering we pay so much for with the 3d printed shavings stuck in the suppressor trying to get out.. or whatever thats about.
Anywho… you’re getting the best of the best sound quality with this can, that comes with terrible delivery.
It’s like bagging a 10, after she ran you over 4 times with her car first. That’s the review.
JON P –
Movie quiet on a 7.5″ 300 BLK AR pistol. It’s a bit large but i wanted to get as quiet as possible and this is it. Very Light and well made.
Eugene M –
Had issues with another brands Ti suppressor where it would walk the first 2 rounds until it heated up. Sent in for warranty and while I waited picked up the Hyperion.
Couldn’t be happier. No poi shift while it heats up. 1st round right where the 6th was. Wish I would have went with the Hyperion years ago instead of investing in heavy QD mounts.
