Weighing in at an extremely light weight 6.6 ounces, the Mod-9SK tactfully balances weight versus suppression. The Mod-9SK serves as a great option for those seeking to have it all: weight, length, and noise reduction forming an ideal trifecta. Adding this silencer to your firearm will provide a maneuverable and minimalistic, dare we say John Wick-esque, profile to whatever host you choose.
The stainless steel was included in the design of the Mod-9SK for durability and robustness while the aluminum’s purpose in the design was used for weight savings. Utilizing CGS’s Orion baffles, the Mod-9SK can handle the stress of an aggressive firing schedule and is rated up to 300 blk. Your silencer will also come with a 1/2×28 piston and a disassembly tool for ease of service.

installed this suppressor on my Sig MPX and really enjoy it. The firearm is my daily carry with/truck gun. I haven’t tried it on anything else, yet. Easy to disassemble and clean. Does not weigh alot and adds a HOLY CRAP look to any gun.

Great Quality and Quiet!

First off it took just under 1 year to receive after purchasing (bought before new eForms came out). Purchased 12/14/20 from Silencershop. 1/29/21 ATF cashed check from Silencershop and suppressor sent to local dealer. 11/4/21 called ATF to check status (based on estimated approval window). Told was approved on 10/5/21 but takes 45 days for dealer to receive approval. Called dealer same day hadn’t received. Finally received suppressor from dealer 12/5/21.
About the MOD9SK. I’ve had it for a couple of months but wanted to try on all my 9mm firearms before giving a full review. I did extensive research reading reviews and watching videos on different suppressors before my purchase. I mainly wanted it for my 9mm carbine but also to use on 22LR. I went with the SK over the full length also for the size. If you want ultra quiet then I suggest spend the $20-30 more and get the full size. First I tried the MOD9SK on my Springfield Hellcat. It was sort of hearing safe, I’d say up to firing a magazine worth it is tolerable. Hellcat w/ 3″ barrel suppressed was equivalent to firing unsuppressed with hearing protection. Again safe for self defense and not deafening but not a couple of hours on a range day. Next I tried on my CZ Scorpion pistol w/ 7.5″ barrel. Note: I target shoot with my 9mm 147gr reloads which are subsonic. Firing the Scorpion suppressed I finally felt like I made the right purchase. I really fits the size of the Scorpion well. It had a slight “pop” sound each round fired with no hearing protection. Actually as the shooter it’s a tad louder. As my son test fired it and I stood back behind him it was quite a bit quieter then when I fired it. I can’t wait to try it wet, haven’t done so as we live in the northwest and currently freezing temps. From reviews supposedly, the SK model wet is equal to the full size dry. No suppressor is “Hollywood” quiet which probably most people think they are. The quality of this CGS suppressor is top notch and it is easy to take apart and clean. I give it a 5 stars. Value I took one star off as it’s nearly the same price as the full size MOD9 yet nearly half the size and not nearly as quiet and I assume less expensive to manufacture. So you have to decide if you want ultra quiet over portability and slightly less weight. Overall I am pleased with my purchase especially how it performed on my Scorpion. Can’t wait to try it on my wife’s M&P 15-22 rifle.

Great can for the price. Very light also! My piston assembly was on so tight I couldn’t get it off without damaging the cap. Very disappointing but I replaced it with the three-lug mount and we’re good to go!

Disappointing. With heavy subsonic 9mm range ammunition the reduction in sound is hardly noticeable. Wish I’d put the money towards something useful.

Cgs has phenomenal products and even better customer service
Anthony Glad –
great product! small size and light weight make it barely noticeable ! noise reduction w/ subtonics is impressive even @ indoor range! Highly recommend!

Well made. Easy to attach, even for a novice. Loud. Even with subsonic ammo. Essentially a 1200 dollar muzzle device Should have the ability to add baffles

Keeps jamming my G43X so I gave up. Needs different piston for my HK & Sig. Not that quiet. Way overpriced. Save your money.

Decent can for the size. Obviously it’s not the quietest, but in terms of size to performance, it fits my needs.

The product is very good for a compact suppressor, it does its job. Highly recommend it.

Great product only took 5 days for approval.

Very nice suppressor, not the quietest so if that’s what you are going for buy the full size one. Very well built. Exactly what I wanted.

This is a K can so I didn’t expect it to be the quietest can out, but it is a good value for a can. I haven’t had any issues with it on my Glock 19x MOS. I think it looks pretty good to boot.

I’ve only shot supers through it but it sounds great I can only expect that subs would be pretty awesome. Quality is great.. if I had a complaint it would be lining up the baffles but it’s not that big of a deal.

Overall I like the cgs mod9sk. Before I received the suppressor I did as much research as I could. I purchased a tool I could disassemble the suppressor from both ends easily. The provided tool only does one end. Upon receiving it I took it apart to learn it and to verify it was put together correctly. I used a p320 fulsize 9mm with it. Shot 140g, 147g and 165g subsonic out of it and it sounded great. Overall I’m pleased with suppressor and I already ordered the fullsize mod9 that I plan on putting on a 9mm pcc.

As far as 9mm cans go this one is a bit of an oddball. It’s just small enough to carry, but not light enough to forgo a Nielsen device entirely. The materials choice makes it difficult to clean despite being modular. Moreover, from the shooting I’ve done so far, if the can is dirty at all, you and your gun should expect to get covered in carbon. That said, it is small enough to concealed carry on the end of a G43 so the compromises are acceptable.

Enjoy it today works great

Not quiet. It will disappoint. 3 baffles are not enough.

Only fired a few dozen rounds through it but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t suppress anything. Quality is good, it disassembles easily but it just doesn’t suppress any sound. Still need to try some 158 and 165gr 9mm ammo. I intended to use this indoor for hearing protection. I think I made a bad choice.

Excellent noise reduction.
Believe it or not, with the suppresser, my aim has improved greatly.
Working with the silencer shop was a breeze.
I will recommend them to all.

I was told this surpressor was exceptionall quiet for it’s size. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to watch as the demonstration was done and they had the muzzle in a snail or a similar device that captured the sound. This model is very loud. I reached out to CGS, hoping something could be done. I decided I would mount it on a fixed barrel pistol which would eliminate the need for the booster that takes up half the space in the surpressor. After several attempts to come to an agreement, I gave up.

Using on G43x
I love the quality and light weight.
Definitely quieter when shooting dry but still somewhat loud but not as loud without one.
When shooting wet it’s very quiet no ear pro needed sounds like a 22lr running subsonics
Easy to dismantle and clean…
Overall 5 stars from me I’m wanting the full size now

You will need ear protection for sure with that said its a small profile and light weight
