The new YHM Sidewinder M2 suppressor is optimized to give you an affordable, lightweight suppressor packed with features typically found on more expensive models. The booster system has been completely redesigned and now uses the industry’s unofficial standard piston. Pistons from SilencerCo, Rugged, Dead Air, etc. can be used in the Sidewinder M2 and vice versa. The redesign also includes the ability to swap pistons without the use of tools thanks to a new rear cap. The front cap has been redesigned to allow for better engagement with the takedown tool to make the service process easier.
This silencer utilizes a high-efficiency mono-core baffle made from 7075-T6 aluminum that is class 3 hard-coat anodized. The outer tube is made from 6061-T6 aircraft quality aluminum which is also finished with class 3 hard-coat anodize. These materials offer high strength and longevity in a lightweight package. The Piston, Nielsen Sleeve and Blast Baffle are constructed from heat treated 17-4 stainless steel. This type of stainless steel is extremely resistant to corrosion/wear and will not degrade when exposed to extreme temps.
The Sidewinder M2 is user serviceable which allows both the baffle and Nielsen device to be removed for cleaning and maintenance using the provided disassembly tool. Our Nielsen device enables flawless semi-automatic operation on all relevant host pistols. This suppressor also has 12 index points that allow you to adjust point of impact while remaining attached to the host firearm.

Looks great fits great and it’s quite can’t ask for much more

Fairly versatile, has a fairly loud first round pop,but that can be mitigated with a co2 inflator. Direct thread adapters are affordable and it’s easy to clean, has a more “universal” Nielsen adapter so that’s always a plus, also super lightweight.i don’t think you could find a better quality suppressor in its price range

The YHM Sidewinder M2 (9mm) is a fantastic “budget” sound suppressor. A lot of people want to think that more expensive means better; not necessarily. I ran standard grain super sonic ammo through this and it was still quiet. Lawman subsonic was great too but the best was Hush subsonic; almost movie quiet in the highly insulated indoor range I was at. Just watch out for how super hot it gets. You definitely should look at getting a suppressor sleeve to help with the heat.
Over all, it’s a great experience to shoot suppressed I highly recommend it. Helps stop muzzle rise too.
ATF wait times as of October 2024 was 3 days. It took longer for Silencer Shop to process the paperwork on their end than the bloody ATF. Over all it was 2 weeks wait time. Unheard of. Now is the time to pick up a suppressor or 2!

Bought this for a .300 blackout build. Haven’t used it yet.

Excellent suppressor for the money. 9mm 147 grain subs are really quite. Its rated for 300 blackout subsonic also. Amazingly, those are even quieter than the 9mm. Frequent cleaning recommended bits super easy to take apart. Monocore unscrew and pulls right out.

Can has a bit of FRP, but follow up shots are very quiet. host is a g19. I’ve put 250ish rounds through this can. Most of them have been 147gr federal flat noses. they run a bit dirty. Its starting to carbon lock a bit, so I’m assuming its about time to clean it out.
otherwise it is very lightweight and I love that YHM sells different thread adapters for it so you can put it on a PCC or 300bo or whatever.

Quality control sucks !!!!
Received can without all parts, called yhm for one lil part ( no big deal ,stuff happens) to this day they have not returned my call !? Went back to place of purchase (great folks) they are attempting to get problem fixed . YHM told dealer the complete can would have to be returned for one little part
Soooo I waited for tax stamp now I’m waiting on yhm to fix their screw up.
I own multiple cans yhm will never be purchased again.
They should have overnighted part ! And had handled the screw up appropriately
