This is a solid option for a modular 9mm silencer. It feels lightweight and the quality is typical Gemtech (even though it’s S&W). I use it on an MP5K with a tri-lug adapter. I haven’t shot it in the short configuration and don’t anticipate doing so since full length it’s not the quietest 9mm silencer. It does give the short option if I ever get a threaded barrel for one of my 9mm pistols.

Great suppressor! I run it on my MP5 clone with a tri-lug adapter, and it is almost movie quiet with 147 gr./subsonic 9mm. Very quiet with 115 and 124 gr. 9mm as well. I highly recommend this suppressor!

Amazingly light modular 9mm suppressor. Even in the long configuration you barely notice the weight. In short configuration you forget the suppressor is there until you shoot and see how quiet it is. I bought the 3 lug adapter for my HK SP5 and direct thread for my Keltec Cp33. Buy with confidence, well worth the wait.

Absolutely the BEST choice for my first 9mm can. Have NOT tried it with 300 Blackout but all five grains and types of 9mm functioned flawlessly over four platforms. Short or long, can’t go wrong. VERY HAPPY!

Preposterously light, adequately quiet. I’m not sure if I even need to use the K configuration due to how light it is. I cannot personally detect any sound other than the supersonic “crack”.
Takedown is simple and cleaning is easy. I appreciate that it takes a 1/4” ratchet to open. The baffles being keyed makes restacking easy for reassembly.
Accessory parts (e.g. direct thread adapter) are quite costly though, especially if you wish to convert to a QD, tri-lug system. Compatibility with the GM-9 adapters is appreciated.
I could not get my custom G17 to cycle with it, though that may be fault of the build being heavy and not the suppressor. My CMMG Banshee 300 MkGs in 9mm works beautifully with it; the radial delay system complements the sound suppression.

I have moved this suppressor between several 9mm handguns and used a variety of ammunition and the only consistent thing is the failure to eject malfunction that follows the suppressor from gun to gun. Zero malfunctions without the suppressor on all the guns. I’ll be contacting Gemtech to see what they can do, but at this time, I wouldn’t recommend this suppressor. The malfunction occurs with every trigger pull, not just occasionally.

Great suppressor, as quiet as I was hoping it would be. No ear protection needed on a Beretta M9A3 and crazy quiet on a Ruger 10/22. I haven’t used it in the short configuration because it’s so light anyway so what’s the point.
Easy to break down and clean, foolproof when putting it back together. The only left to try is subsonic 300 blackout and from what I’ve heard it should work well there too.

Suppressor works great. My only gripe is that the adapter at the top is pinned so you can’t swap it out. Extremely disappointing because I wasted my money on a new one only to find you can’t swap it out. I had to create a solution myself that caused a lot of wasted time and money

Pompano Pawn secured a Lunar 9 for me and it is a fantastic unit. But that is not the entire story. Pompano Pawn is the best shop at which I have ever shopped. They have been in business for over thirty years and have a sales staff also trained in the nuances of firearms safety including the necessary class leading to a Florida Concealed Carry permit. When you buy from Pompano you get service and quality. They had the subsonic ammunition to make the Lunar 9, whisper at the range. The gracious staff make you want to return for another suppressor purchase. The shop carries a reasonable array of products related to the shooting sports. If you are looking for a suppressor, the shop provides access to the electronic kiosk making the paperwork a breeze. When my needs include ammunition, cleaning supplies, magazines, firearms, suppressors, or ADVICE, my first stop is Pompano Pawn, “a shooters paradise”.

The tone of this silencer is very high pitched and painful to my ears. If I was still in the 90 day return window I would return it to silencershop, really disappointed with the tone. With ear pro it’s fine but without ear pro it sounds really really bad. DO NOT BUY, many better options.

I own a number of Gemtech suppressors, this was a in-stock unit with silencer shop. I went to pick this suppressor up after I received the tax stamp which was quicker than most suppressors I have ordered. The finish was two separate shades from the top and the bottom as well as many marks and scuffs. I had to accept the suppressor and immediately give it back for a warranty claim on the finish. The other two suppressors I ordered in this batch looked excellent and they were different brands. I hope the Lunar 9 comes back in new condition.

Excellent suppressor. Easily disassemble in seconds to clean. Paired with sub sonic ammo it’s very quiet with no ear protection required. But a little expensive compared to others in its class.
