The Griffin Armament M4SDK 5.56mm rifle silencer is the shorter and lighter version of its brother, the M4SD-II unit. Engineered for suppressor enthusiasts who prefer minimal length and weight add-ons when utilizing a can—while maintaining effective sound reduction not afforded by novelty miniature suppressors popular to the market—the M4SDK is a great addition to any collection.
Calling Wisconsin home, Griffin Armament is one impressive outfit. This team has a wide assortment of suppressors under their belt, with no slowing down in sight. Founded by two military brothers intent on preserving the hearing of fellow shooters, this manufacturer entrusts their experience to craft high-quality, affordable cans. Add the M4SDK model to the list.
Further Intel
The Griffin Armament M4SDK provides a high level of sound reduction (31 dB) while sustaining the extreme durability of the aforementioned flagship M4SD-II silencer. Moreover, it is A2 rifle compatible, so versatility is not lacking. Designed with durable stainless steel, the M4SDK is tough enough to attain the full-auto rated designation. Measuring a scant 5.75” and weighing a mere 14.5 ounces, this model is as maneuverable a 5.56mm rifle unit as you will find. To that end, this innovative mini-suppressor surpasses competing same-category options by a broad margin, offering market-leading performance and value in its class. Although miniature in stature, not owning one is a major malfunction.

First off it’s a great can for the money I was shocked at how quite it really was on my 16inch BCM. It was always hearing safe. It was also pretty quite on my 10.5 BCM. The quick lock up system is great and so fast I love the can for the most part. Plus it looks great on my 10.5 it’s not long or heavy for my primary defense rifle. On the 16inch it got really dirty really fast(to much gas) had to get a new buffer.
Now for the negatives. First is the paint it had serval little wear spots on the outside just out of the box from the sharp edges of the ribs on the can. After 450 rounds in about 2 hours it was a little worse in spots could even see bare metal. Not huge but still on a brand new can with only 450 through it with slow semi fire it kinda bugs me. I believe it could use a better paint or coating.
All in all a great can and would buy again

Great suppression. I like the ability to use it on any gun with a standard A2 style flash hider.

Absolutely love it

Absolutely stellar can, very simple mounting and unmounting. Hearing safe on a 16″ barrel with regular ammo, definitely louder on a 10.5. And you can’t beat having the ability to mount it on any A2 muzzle device without a crush washer

I haven’t really had time to evaluate fully point of impact changes yet. This device can be secured in two positions 180 deg. apart.
I originally choose this suppressor because all my rifles have A2 flash suppressors and i liked the idea of not having to purchase additional $120+ QD muzzle devices that some other brands don’t include with their silencers.
This Griffin M4SDK comes with a mini Hammer Comp as a preferred fitting Muzzle device over Std. A2 flash hiders, but is supposed to work with Milspec A2 birdcages, however you can’t use the standard crush washer when using the silencer as bore misalignment is an issue and some Generic A2 muzzle devices offer a very sloppy fit, again increasing bore misalignment and the risk of a silencer baffle strike, destroying the Can. Always check the bore alignment with a bore rod and use flat indexing shims as supplied with the included Hammer Comp. muzzle device on any other A2 equipped rifles you intend to use this silencer on. Never a Crush Washer as per Griffins instructions!

The Griffin M4SD cans are my most used cans. Performance is great & the flexibility to use on multiple rifles is awesome. Bring a friend shooting & they can use their own rifle to shoot suppressed. Nearly always results in a new suppressor owner by the end of the day.

Bought this for my wife since she’s noise sensitive. Now I’m trying to stay supplied in ammunition since she wants to shoot all the time.

I absolutely love this thing. For the size and for the price point it is really difficult to beat. 556 is tough to make quiet, but this does an exceptional job and (non-scientifically) seems to perform just as good if not better than some of the surefire cans my buddies have.

I am very happy with this suppressor. I really like the mounting system, it fits very well and there is no play between the suppressor and the flash hider. This system makes moving it to other rifles with Mil Spec flash hiders very easy. I am very happy with the noise reduction as well.

Works great. Fits on most of my A2 flash muzzle devides except one that is painted a little thick. Attaches best on their muzzle device however as they describe. Purchase was a smooth procedure.
My name is of no significance –
Quality made silencer. Short and compact with good amount of decibel reduction that compares well to other 556 silencers. Baffle design does help with reducing gas to the face when using on DI gas system rifles. Have only used on one piston system rifle with mixed results- BRN180 on S setting doesn’t fully cycle due to the unique baffle design which reduces peak pressure at the gas port. May need to modify the gas plug to make the rifle function properly. May perform better with multi-setting adjustable pistons.
Fits on standard A2 birdcage flash hiders- tested and works with YHM Phantom 5C1 & 5C2. No issues with carbon locking of gate lock or silencer. Comes off easy with a twist and pull after opening the gate.
Overall- would recommend.

K can was the right decision for me.
Size and weight benefits are a better trade off than minor increase in db reduction.
Excellent build quality from Griffin.
I do wish they would have not included the hammer comp and reduced the price accordingly.
I prefer their flash hider.
Overall a solid product and a great alternative to the surefire K can.

Love the attachment method, makes my 11.5 much more pleasant to shoot. So far impressed with Griffin.

The Griffin M4SDK is an excellent 5.56 suppressor! Great balance between length, weight, and sound suppression. Snug, strong fit over the pinned and welded flash hider on my DD M4A1 with the last photo showing the residue on the FH after a single range trip.
Highly recommend this suppressor, especially for those with pinned and welded A2 flash hiders.

Great suppressor! Super “quiet,” short (mounted to my 14.5” bbl it measures approx 19.5”), durable, idiot proof, and I haven’t found an A2 that this won’t mount to. I’m glad I bought this over other options. The customer service isn’t the best, but with this great of a product, I’ll probably never need them. CP Tactical was also a pleasure to deal with like always.

Excellent product, a joy to use

It’s the perfect length, and the QD mounting system fits all my standard A2 birdcages.
Jeffrey Kenney –
Definitely makes a difference when in an indoor range! Great versatile suppressor that I can put on more than one rifle. That’s actually the reason I bought this one first as it works with normal A2 flash hiders. Run the bootleg suppressor bcg an H3 on a 11.5″ with zero issues.

This suppressor was better in almost all regards than I was expecting. The M4SDK suppresses M855 and M193 spec 5.56 to *almost* hearing safe levels. I’ve ran it decently rough, 240 rounds in quick succession (about the span of 10 minutes or so) and there was no noticeable damage to the can or to its finish. Serious can for serious application, and at a proper price. Only downside is the mounting solution is not as user friendly as I was expecting. It can be incredibly finicky depending on where you have sourced your A2 compensator. I would recommend actual issued milspec compensators if you can source them, or Brownells / Palmetto State Armory specced A2 flash hiders. The lock also interfaces the most securely facing to the right, NOT downward as the manual will instruct. TLDR: Durable short can with normal length can performance. Great buy.
