The RAD 45 is amazing! It’s the lightest weight suppressor in its class, full-auto rated for pistol calibers, and very simple to disassemble and clean.
As for shooting performance, it was perfectly hearing safe in a small indoor range in its full configuration shooting standard 230 grain ball 45ACP from a pistol. I’m not sure it’s hearing safe in its short configuration, and I haven’t tested either configuration on a 9mm host yet. The flow-through design that OSS is famous for is incredible – I didn’t get any blowback of gasses in my face. It also significantly reduces muzzle rise, and even recoil in my opinion, smoothing out the fast, hard punch of 45ACP into a much more gentle tap.
This being my first suppressor, I’m pretty sure I didn’t tighten it enough on my host and had a couple baffle strikes the first time I took it out, which I discovered later when I disassembled it for cleaning. The baffles were perfectly fine, and I cleaned and reassembled it easily. Also, the customer support that HUXWRX (subsidiary of OSS) provides is top-notch – they reassured me that I hadn’t just ruined my long-awaited new toy, and answered many of my questions over several days.
Overall, if you’re looking for a lightweight, do-it-all pistol suppressor that won’t blast you with hot gasses, this suppressor will not disappoint!

Very versatile suppressor. Have used on 350 Legend bolt gun and a 22. While slightly heavier than a 22 can, its not by much in short configuration and easy to clean. Still plenty quiet with subs too.

Tried it out with my FNX-45. Worked great and sounded pretty quiet. Did not come unthreaded. Backpressure wasn’t noticeable.

Awesome can for pistols and sub guns. I’ve ran it on multiple pistols including a MK23 and occasionally use it on my Z5P. Modularity is nice to have but necessarily vital.

Haven’t tested on 45 ACP, but on both my 9mm hosts it’s incredibly silent. Had quite a few people at the range ask me about it when they heard how silent it was with subsonics. Great choice for a first can so you can shoot on multiple hosts while waiting for other approvals. 5/5

I purchased the OSS RAD45 mainly hoping it would help reduce recoil. I have arthritis in my hands and it makes keeping a firm grip on the handgun during recoil very difficult. My favorite gun is my FN X .45. It is a soft shooting gun but the recoil was making it progressively more difficult for me to shoot. I knew that it would help with noise reduction but I was more interested in recoil reduction. I was NOT disappointed! I am amazed at how much not only the sound was reduced but also recoil reduction. No mistake that there is still recoil but it has been brought back to the level that makes it very manageable. I anticipate that I will be able to continue shooting my FN X for many years to come and could not be more happy with the OSS RAD45.

I am a bit disappointed in this suppressor. I did my homework and was led to believe it would be great on a 10 mm carbine. I does nothing to suppress the decibels of a 10 mm. Works ok on my FN 45 ACP pistol..For the price of this item one would think some owners literature or manual would be included, there is nothing.

Other than speeding up the cyclic action on an FN, it’s a lot nicer to not have to wear plugs when using it. I’m extremely happy with this suppressor and would recommend it to anyone who likes .45 cal but doesn’t like volunteering for a church choir in their ears after using it.
