Moreover, the patented pig-nose formation provides superior sound reduction by precisely directing gas as it moves through the suppressor with each round fired. Built-in spacers between these baffles limit carbon buildup and allow the silencer to stay clean longer. Because the baffles are individually numbered and keyed, Surefire made “sure” the suppressor is simple to disassemble and maintain. One more glorious note: The baffles are coated with Mil-Spec hard anodizing, which aids in cleaning and helps prevent gas and particle erosion.
