Due to popularity of Griffin’s CHECKMATE-QD suppressor, Griffin now presents to you the CHECKMATE-HD™ suppressor. This new CHECKMATE-HD™ is a 5.8 ounce, 5.7×28 pistol rated rimfire suppressor and utilizes ECO-FLOW™ baffle technology as well as the newly developed CARBON-GARD™ technology. The 5.8 ounce, 5.04″ overall length suppressor features a 17- 4 heat treated ECO-FLOW™ baffle system, front cap, and integrated EZ-LOK™ QD mounting system. The tube is 7075-T6 billet machined aluminum and hardcoat anodized for maximum strength.
The CARBON-GARD™ technology seals the entire baffle core with high temperature Silicone O-rings which allows the suppressor to be more user maintenance friendly. After 2000 rounds are fired, the inside diameter of the tube and outside diameter of the core are still spotlessly clean for ease of disassembly without specialized tools other than a US quarter.
Extensive workup was done to the baffle system resulting in a baffle system with zero first round pop and a market leading sound pressure level (SPL) on rifles and pistols.
The CHECKMATE-HD™ comes with an EZ-LOK™ 1/2×28 barrel adapter and is field ready out of the box. The only supporting accessory outside of various threaded barrel end couplers, is a CAM-LOK® rear mount, making this suppressor very simple and straightforward for end users to understand and utilize. Put the EZ-LOK adapter on the threaded barrel of my Walther P22 and mounted the can on the P22. Fired 100 shots through this suppressor and was totally amazed at its performance! It is unbelievably quiet. The can passed 30 shots before it warmed up!
Using the Installation and Maintenance Guide it was a breeze to disassemble the can using a quarter to remove the flash reduction cap and then remove the QD interface holding the tube with my left hand and twisting the interface with my right hand. The seven baffles were seperated by pulling on each baffle with my thumb and forfinger. A five minute soak in a one-cup sized jar filled with CLR cleaner, toothbrush scrub, rinse with warm water, towel dry, and the can was quickly and accurately reassembled.

The checkmate is versatile, quiet, and if anything, improves the accuracy of firearm. I have run 10-15 different 22lr ammo’s thru it, including stingers, punch, and sub-sonic. With sub-sonic CCI clean, and 40 grain varmint, you can hear the slide, or the bolt cycle, (I’ve run it with both pistol and rifle platforms), over the report of the round.

This was my fist supressor purchase and it took nearly four months for my paper work to clear for some reason. As for the product itself I feel I got good value for my money. It is very effective on my .17 cal rimfires. On the .22 LR it seems to low the noise level nicely but not as much as on the .17s for some reason. Point of impact did change a bit to the left but that wa correctable.

I am using the Griffin Armament Checkmate HD mainly in my PSA Rock 5.7, it sounds absolutely amazing. The pistol also functions flawlessly with its can, the rock 5.7 has had issues with functionality with some heavier suppressors. This can is a must have for anyone running a 5.7 and rimfires.
