Meet The Fat Cat®-The newest member of the YHM suppressor family! This 5.56 NATO Suppressor sports new baffle geometry resulting in reduced blowback. Built with the same care, quality, and attention to detail that has defined the YHM® brand for generations, the Fat Cat® was created to provide a compact suppressor with great sound. The Fat Cat® is made from 17-4 stainless steel along with a heat-treated 718 Inconel blast baffle. The combination of these materials allows the suppressor to be full auto-rated and designed for rigorous use. The overall length measures just 4.5″ with the sRx adapter installed. That’s a full inch shorter than our Turbo K model with it’s included adapter. The Fat Cat’s larger 1.94” diameter creates more internal volume resulting in a lower, more pleasant tone. With an average sound pressure level of 141dB at the muzzle, the Fat Cat® is quite the performer for its size. Also available is the optional cat cap, YHM-2210, with the Cat’s Ass design on the cap.

55 grain ball on a 16 inch was flawless. Hearing safe? Yes. I was very impressed with this can
Now I don’t know if I’d be hearing safe with anything shorter than 16 inches. But my guess if I go to heavier bullets it’s even better. Love this can

Over all, this is a great K can. Not as quiet as my Polo K, but not as long. Running it on an 11.5 sbr.

Purchased this because I wanted a smaller suppressor for my 5.56. Works really well, my only complaint, is the mounting system. It requires the short SRX muzzle device. And the only one offered at this point from YHM is the break. I want the FH.
So I have to make it with a blast deflector when not using the suppressor.
I found very little if any point of aim to point of impact shift. Sounds suppression is on par with suppressors considerably longer. Happy I made the purchase!

This is my first suppressor purchase and I am very happy with it. Short and light weight feels great on an 11.5 upper. Sound quality is nice I don’t have the equipment to see if it’s hearing safe but based on specs I would still recommend using ear pro to protect your hearing but with that said shooting a few rounds on an 11.5 upper without ear pro I did not experience any pain or ringing personally. The sRx Mini Muzzle Break it comes with is easy to thread the suppressor too just use the provided wrench’s to make sure it’s tight and you’re good to go. Without the suppressor attached it does give a decent amount of muzzle flash on an 11.5 but that’s expected from a muzzle break also seeing it’s primarily a suppressor mount it does its job well and it’s awesome that it’s included as well as the wrench’s. Overall for the price, size, and performance of this suppressor I would recommend it for someone looking for a dedicated 5.56 suppressor.

Put a few mags through the fat cat on my 10.5. Seems to have deeper tone than my turbo T2. more pleasant sounding.
Free tax stamp was a huge plus

Great little suppressor, neat sound signature. Bought it for a short rifle to keep it short. Does that, a little gassy but nothing an adjustable gas block wouldn’t fix. Only about 250 rounds through it but I’m really liking it.

Amazing quality and sound for the price!

Quality suppressor. I really like the compact length. Sound is great. This is my 4th YHM can.

My first suppressor, so take it with a grain of salt. Very good sound mitigation at the shooters ear, not sure if that’s been measured anywhere, but it was a huge improvement on an 11.5″ barreled upper. It’s somewhat gassy, and it adds a good bit of backpressure, so if you’re counting on those features, this isn’t the can for you. Looking forward to doing little things to my build to improve this. Overall very satisfied. Albemarle Outdoor was very helpful with the process.

The YHM Fat Cat is QUIET! As we all know 5.56 is a “poppy” round; however, the Fat Cat curbs that sound to tolerable range. I did not decibel level test it just ran it against another rifle with a “full-sized” (6″-ish) suppressor on it. Hahah no lab coats just a day on the range. I pushed about 500rds through it, no malfunctions; verry consistent sound level even as it got hot. I am no expert; however, I did shoot a gun once, so whatever my opinion is worth, I 100% recommend the YHM Fat Cat.

The Fat Cat works great, amazing quality and sound reduction.

Great can for the money. It does a great job for it’s compact size. It only added about 1.5″ to the overall length of my rifle as compared to the flash hider. Comes with the mount and 2 wrenches to install and remove the can.

It’s TINY and does fantastic job for its size. Not as quiet as other larger options but comparable in range. Definitely worth for SBR. Seems to blow back a bit more dirt but not too bad.

Amazing Suppressor, very quiet for it’s size

Fantastic Can!

This is my first 5.56 suppressor, so maybe i’m expecting too much but not happy with this one. I understand it is still going to break the sound barrier, but I was hoping it would be quiet enough to shoot without hearing protection. It is still very loud at the muzzle. Quality built, just not much suppression in my opinion.

It sounds Great!
