Introducing the all new CAT WB (White Bread) Titanium Suppressor! This 5.56mm suppressor showcases a significant advancement in silencer technology with its SURGE BYPASS pressure system. This pressure system manages the flow of gases more efficiently over a reduced length, minimizing both sound and felt recoil. This can uses DMLS engineering and internal structuring to channel gases and effectively produce superior high pitch, high frequency noise reduction while minimizing pressure wave propagation for the shooter. The CAT WB is known for its exceptional durability, being made from high-grade materials and subjected to rigorous testing. It can withstand extreme temperatures, corrosion, and the stresses of rapid firing, making it suitable for both military professionals and civilian enthusiasts.
Full Auto or High Rates of Fire (greater than 30 rounds per minute) are expressly discouraged, unless in life threatening self-defense situations, on the titanium version of this silencer. The titanium version is a super lightweight, high performance suppressor dedicated to Low Rates of Fire. You should not exceed a maximum service temperature of approximately 650°F (343°C). This model is more of a Formula 1 race car versus the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank. Both models will get you from point A to point B… they just do it two different ways. I was looking to save weight on a night time hunting gun. I didn’t expect the WB to as quiet or quieter than my other silencer along with saving almost a pound of weight, but it did.

Good suppression with almost no additional gas in the system. My example tips the scales at 6.5 oz with a Rearden Atlas Ti. After several range days it proved viable for shooting drills without over heating. It takes about 30 rounds of intermittent fire broken up into several drills to reach the 650 degree mark. The cooldown time for me was about 5 minutes before being below the manufacturer recommended 150 degree skin temperature.
All in all I would recommend this can, especially as a dedicated suppressor for guns with 14.5” or longer barrels where the weight savings really impacts maneuverability.

I want to like this more. First the upside of this can is its size and weight. Unreal light. Coming from heavy stainless cans (YHM) in the past, I don’t even know its there. I leave it on my host rifle(s) and it still fits in their cases. I used it on a DDM4 V7 16″ rifle and it ran stellar. No over gassing etc. Loved it.
I have also run it a couple times on a PSA Jakl which has a janky gas system to begin with but I haven’t had issues in the last couple hundred rounds. After some playing around with it and breaking it in. Once I put the WB on, I immediately had a couple issues that I would be attribute to some higher pressure (Double feed, FTE).
Sound was louder on the Jakl for sure using same ammo. But that’s a given, both 5.56, shooting 55 gr Win whitebox, but the Jakl is a 10″ barrel.
3D printing titanium is cool and all, but Ecco Machine’s fivebyfive is welded stainless steel can that 1/2″ shorter and only 4 oz more. To my ear on the same setup, the Ecco was not as piercing sharp as the WB, at the shooters. Bystanders said it was obvious the fivebyfive was more pleasant to the naked ear. The fivebyfive will no doubt take at least a slightly heavier firing schedule than the titanium WB. If you want numbers check out Thunderbeasts 2024 Silencer Summit.
The rub is the price. Ecco’s can is less than half the price!!! and performed nearly the same for sound, size. It may have slightly higher back pressure than the Spectres Cat WB 5.56 but if I could go back I would rethink spending the coin on a “flow through” can that doesn’t stand neck and shoulders above its more traditional competition. Even though its priced like it is.

It’s short, lightweight and quiet which is what I was looking for. No complains. It’s over priced in my opinion as are all suppressors for what they are. But I guess guys like me will buy them anyway so why not over price them. It’s a good can, I like it.

Outstanding! Insanely quiet! Sounds like a whip cracking. I’m running a 16 in barrel. Needed to go up to an H2 buffer weight to get a 4 o’clock ejection, but it ran fine with an H1. No noticed increase in gas to face. Decided to direct thread. Super light. Couldn’t be happier.

Mixup on the mount when I ordered, mostly my fault but info was not clear. After trading several enails and calls, CAT clarified and the mount I needed was purchased. CAT worked to fix my mismatch.

Great can for a light weight and “shorter” length. I selected the CAT WB ti because it’s on a dedicated 16” host. Nearly no tuning needed but brass ejection was around 1:30-2 o’clock. Simply changing out the carbine buffer and spring to a H2 G$ spring put injection to 3-3:30 and little to no gas in the face wile outside.The riffle is so much more pleasant to shoot. Only thing I would change is the mounting system. I would have purchased the spooky mounting system and not direct thread.
