The CGS SCI-Six is ready to take your .223/5.56 carbine to the next level. Optimized specifically for the 5.56x45mm cartridge, the CGS SCI-Six prioritizes backpressure, sound, and flash reduction. With gas, flash, and sound cut down alongside weight and length, the CGS SCI-Six is a top choice for the discerning 5.56 user.
You’ll immediately notice the lack of gas, lower decibels, and smooth weapon operation that the SCI-Six provides on AR15 rifle. This suppressor limits the gas coming back into the action, keeping your rifle running clean and smooth while also dampening recoil and decibels. And if low light is a concern, the SCI-Six has you covered with its flash hiding end cap.
Noise reduction and recoil management are excellent, making this suppressor an easy pick for shooters who want to optimize their 5.56 rifle build.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
The SCI-Six is designed to upgrade gas carbine platforms by reducing backpressure, sound signature, muzzle flash, and recoil. That is accomplished by the CGS SCI-Six’s Hyperion VCD (Variable Core Diameter) baffle design.
If you’re shooting high volume and training hard, the SCI-Six has your back. This 5.56 suppressor is full auto rated without barrel length restrictions, made possible by its 3D-printed Inconel construction. Secure the SCi-Six to your rifle with its built-in quick detach (QD) system. The mounting system uses a taper mount for accuracy and reliability and a left-hand thread to ensure the suppressor stays firmly attached even under high rates of fire.
KEY ATTRIBUTES OF THE CGS SCI-SIX
Compact and Quiet: Less than 6” long, but suppresses like a much larger silencer.
Get Rid of Gas: Intricate gas paths vent combustion gasses down range instead of into your face.
Rock Solid Mounting: The included taper mounting system provides a quick, easy, and secure mount.
Flash Signature Suppression: The Inconel construction, complex baffle design, and integrated flash hider drastically reduce flash in low light conditions.

The gold standard in 5.56 duty cans

I replaced a Banish 30 on my 5.56 upper with the CGS. It’s heavier than the Banish, but sounds a bit more quiet. In addition, there is very little if any flame coming out of it when fired; good for night shoots.

Great can for the money! Flow through end cap also really changes the game
Aaryn S –
Awesome suppressor with a really nice tone. Compared to the 5.56 flow and the rc2 it is much more pleasant to shoot.
Recommend purchasing the ported endcap on anything under a 14.5 with a non adjustable gas block..

Solid hard use can!

Everything I expected it to be. Top notch quality

A little bit heavy relative to the newer Ti cans coming out, but the sound suppression is some of the best I’ve heard in a 556 can in person.

Great suppressor overall but 4 stars for the work I had to put in to take off the end cap. I don’t see a reason why cgs had to make it so Danm tight, I tried losing it at the range once it was hot and tried using a torch at my house with a vise. But the only thing that let me get the end cap off was a 1/2” impact and the silencer in a vise being held by a 1-1/2 socket. Cgs most people use the flow through end cap because flow through is what is standard right now so feel free to not torque end caps on so I’m not using a vise and impact gun to take it off.

Phenomenal performance especially for 556, my favorite 556 can by far.
Matthew E –
Awesome 5.56 suppressor, absolutely love it. Super quiet, getting 98-101dB at the ear in the indoor range on a MK18. Not too gassy at all, and haven’t tried the ported cap yet. I have not had one instance of the suppressor not staying tight on the flash hider adapter. Would highly recommend it but again if needed.

CGS great quality

Excellent quality, tolerances are insane, the thread match up between the suppressor and sci-six flash hider are perfect. The suppressor is much more quiet than I anticipated, greatly surprised me; I did not experience any ear fatigue or ringing of the ears shooting an entire magazine of 62 grain 556. I highly recommend you to still wear ear protection. Flash suppression was very good, I am running this suppressor on a Noveske Irregular Defense 11.5” mid-length gas system and it throws huge fire balls. the suppressor tames it down to the smallest of flashes which i tested on a moonless night, there is a noticeable first round flash as present in all suppressors and also accompanied by a slightly louder pop which is less than most suppressors I have shot with. Recoil reduction is stellar, paired with a Superlative Arms gas block, the recoil has been greatly reduced. The can is not gassy at all, very minimal gas in the face which i greatly appreciated; also another factor of the Superlative Arms gas bleed off system and the Geissele charging handle included on the Noveske upper. I highly recommend this suppressor. Also, I am not running this suppressor with the flow through end cap, but I will be purchasing it soon to test the performance differences.

Sci six is rad, but it if you want it

The CGS SCI-SIX suppressor is awesome! It’s lighter than expected, especially considering it’s made of Inconel, which provides exceptional durability. Its compact size is comparable to a SureFire SB2 or RC2, making it short and unobtrusive—it barely adds any length to the firearm.
The muzzle device may not win any beauty contests, but it’s highly effective. The reverse-threaded design ensures the suppressor stays securely in place, which is a big plus.
One drawback is that the suppressor doesn’t come with the “blow-through” end cap, which helps vent gas forward instead of into the shooter’s face. This should be included by default, as it’s an essential upgrade—especially for left-handed shooters like myself, helping to reduce gas exposure and potential long-term health risks.
In terms of sound suppression, .223/5.56 is always loud, but the SCI-SIX does a solid job of reducing the report. While no suppressor makes a 5.56 rifle whisper-quiet, this one performs well and, in my opinion, is superior to a SureFire suppressor.
Overall, a well-built, compact, and effective suppressor that’s absolutely worth considering!
