Setting their sights on producing the ultimate precision suppressors, Gunwerks debuted the 6ix and 8ight. The 8ight, appropriately named for measuring in at around eight inches in length, offers the ability to fully suppress those larger caliber rifles. Hunting and long-range shooting just became more enjoyable by lessening the blow (pun intended) in addition to less point of impact shift and the ability to obtain tight groups from far distances.
Gunwerks designed these suppressors with ultimate durability in mind. Constructed using 17-4 stainless steel, utilizing a tubeless, welded design, the 6ix and 8ight are equipped to handle the heat, and pressure. Designed for high magnum cartridges, 6.5mm to 30 cal rifles specifically, kept the user in mind for hunting and long-range application. With two different thread adapters and a 30 caliber bore reducer included, this can’s customizability out of the box offers the ability to quickly mount the suppressor on different devices all while keeping with the optimal sound reduction offered.

Fits every rifle I have with barrel adaptors. Caliber adaptors let you adjust to specific bore sizes. Like have 10 suppressors in one.

With the Gunwerks line of suppressors being relatively new to the scene I couldn’t find many reviews. Knowing the quality of the other products they make I wasn’t too concerned. I’ve had this Can for about 4 months now and shot 6.5 creedmoor, 6.5 PRC and 7mm Rem Mag. Hunted both deer and elk this year with it installed. All performed great through the can and sound suppression is outstanding. Initial rezero was required but little to no POI shift when removing the can and replacing before firing. It is a bit heavy, but the sound reduction is incredible. I’d say for a range can or shorter backpack hunts it’s great, I’ll be saving up for their 6ix for sure.

Pros: The ability to utilize multiple calibers with one suppressor is a big positive. I have used it on .223, 6.5, and 7mm mag. The recoil and sound reduction exceeded my expectations. Accuracy with or without the suppressor. My rifle was zeroed at 100 yards with the factory muzzle brake. When I attached the suppressor, there was no change in my zero or accuracy.
Cons: There are only two things I wish I could change about the GW8. It is a little heavy for an 8 inch suppressor, but it was not a surprise as it is stainless steel and not titanium. The other thing I would like to change would be the muzzle adapter/brake. It has zero impact as a muzzle brake without the suppressor. It would be nice if the muzzle adapter was actually a muzzle brake when I wanted to shoot without the can.

Excellent can for the 30 caliber magnums. This isn’t a lightweight can by any means. Works really well on my 300 Norma magnum and my 7mm rem mag.

well built easy installation. Still need to get the other reducing calibers down to 22.
Shot it with 30 cal on my 224 Valkery not what I was expecting. Still alot quieter than with out. I believe the reducers will make a huge difference. All In all the wait was excruciating took a whole year but still very excited to have it.

Love my new suppressor. The accessories that it comes with is a nice bonus. It also handles and balanced well on my AR..

I put it on a 6 mm Creedmoor and it made it sound like a 22lr. It was very accurate and continues to shoot very small groups with the Suppressor.

So far I have tried this on my 300 PRC and 6.5 PRC. My 300 PRC is a carbon fiber, lightweight build, and it tames the recoil so much that it’s actually very pleasant to shoot while mitigating the sound to the point of no need for hearing protection(although still a good idea) Very little impact shift, overall great performance would highly recommend to anyone considering.
