The Gemtech GM-22 rimfire can is the result of over 20 years of suppressor innovation and research. The cutting-edge G-Core baffle stack design enables the shooter to easily maintain this unit without sacrificing noise reduction.
Located in Idaho with industry roots dating back to 1976, Gemtech developed the GM-22 using 7075 aluminum, adding considerable strength to the innovative design. In fact, the G-Core suppressor line is the strongest Gemtech has produced. The manufacturer treats this particular silencer’s core with their very own C3 Technology, resulting in a smooth finish that prevents lead buildup, therefore improving disassembly and cleaning. However, it is advisable to avoid harsh treatment solvents (e.g., Hoppe’s No. 9, the “dip,” ultrasonic cleaners).
Do not be fooled by its diminutive appearance (5” length, 2.5 ounces)—the GM-22 is an impressive silencer that is a must-have for suppressor enthusiasts. And being the lightest can we offer, its handling is off the charts, making for an enjoyable and effective shooting experience.

Minimal FRP. Great can!

I just got this gemtek, and went shooting with my brother who has a deadair .22 suppressor. While the gemtek does pretty well, it’s nowhere near as quiet as the deadair. We swapped suppressors to make sure it wasn’t the pistols, and it was definitely the suppressors. So overall it’s pretty good but not great.

Great rimfire choice for the money
James P –
Great size for 22 handgun or rifle.
Quiet and doesn’t affect reliability even with 60gr subsonics.
Cameron M –
Good can. Light and fairy easy to service.
Randall O –
Nice mono-core suppressor. Sound quality is good as is flash suppression. Easy to clean and also works well on .17cal.
Rob C –
Great suppressor at a great price. I have it on an M&P AR15-22. All you can hear is the bolt carrier actioning.
Stephan F –
Excellent suppressor, slim and lighteight. Almost can’t feel it there but still very effective suppression.
Warrior –
Very quiet with standard velocity ammo. Lightweight, high quality suppressor.

Long heard about GEM Tech products and finally pulled the trigger to get one and am very happy with this purchase and choice!

“Silencer” – it is not. There is hardly a drop in the DBs
it would be nice to try before buying – considering the stamp is for life
James G –
Light weight. Fits my Sig P22 great. With sub sonic ammo it i very quiet and the critters I shoot don.t even know I am there

Good product Thank you!!

This was an inexpensive basic suppressor for my intended use of pest mgmt when hunting among other things. So far I’ve shot a few hundred rounds out of it and it seems perfectly fine. I’m grouping around 1-2″ groups at 100yds with 22lr ammo, inexpensive Winchester autoloader rifle, and night vision scope. I’m very happy with that.
Adam Pickering –
Extremely light. First round pop is noticeable, but not objectionable. Subsequent rounds are very quiet. Only minor gripe is there isn’t much to hold on to to unthread the tube from the core and it can get pretty stuck pretty quickly.
Daryl G –
Very light and very quiet
Joseph C –
Works great, plenty quiet, L3 firearms was great. Whole process from purchase to silencer in hand took about 12 days.
Paul G –
Work really well when controlling pests around the house like skunks and armadillos. Nice and quiet especially with subsonic ammo.

I recently purchased the GEMTECH GM-22 from The Armories in Winter Garden, FL, and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The first-round pop is minimal, and follow-up shots are consistently quiet. Cleaning is straightforward thanks to its user-serviceable baffle design, and the machining tolerances are precise, which makes reassembly easy and secure.
Overall, the GEMTECH GM-22 offers excellent sound reduction, lightweight handling, and durable construction. It’s a solid investment for anyone looking for a high-quality rimfire suppressor that delivers both performance and longevity.
