Otter Creek Labs OCM5 5.56 Suppressor
The OCM5 gives Mk12 cloners the look they want with 21-century performance. A titanium tube and 17-4 stainless baffles cut weight to 16 oz, about 19 % lighter than the AEM5, while keeping length to 8.8 in and diameter to 1.5 in. Compatible with every legacy OPS Inc / Allen Engineering brake and collar, it slips straight onto existing rifles; choose Otter Creek’s PTB or OTB mounts for new builds. No mount ships in the box, so plan accordingly. Minimum barrels: 10.3 in with PTB, 11.5 in with OTB. Full-auto rated and backed by a lifetime warranty, the OCM5 runs quieter and with less back-pressure than the can it replaces without losing the classic silhouette.

alittle louder than I anticipated, but acceptable. gas blowback is pretty significant, I’ll have to work on that. Had a very minor, but noticeable, strike w/in the 1st 50 rounds. Yes, I would recommend.

Excellent sound suppression for the caliber. Felt hearing safe. Used on a standard 20-inch barrel AR15A2 and noticed after 60rnds. (30rds. M193 55gr. then 30rds. M855 62gr.) it became a little gassy. No noticeable P.O.I. change @ 50yds. Need to do more testing.

When I first picked up the suppressor my first thought was that it was a lot lighter than I thought it was going to be. The finish is high quality and I could not be happier. If you are thinking of picking up and OCM5 I would not only recommend it but also ask why you haven’t added it to the cart already?

Love it. Looks great on clone/retro builds, sounds fantastic, and isn’t as gassy as people say. Only con is that the mounting system is pretty terrible, but that’s just how it goes with an old design like this.

This can sounds great. Waited a long time to get my hands on one for a mk12 spr build I’ve been working on. It’s a bit gassy but there’s ways to fix that. Overall fantastic can would definitely reccommend.

If you want an improved AEM5; The OCM5 does not disappoint. The otter crew makes a solid reflex can. Perfect for those MK12 variants & mounts great on my AE collars.

The mounting solutions for this can depend on the rifle you’re installing it on. And it will only fit on rifles with certain barrel profiles and barrel lengths & gas system lengths. So do your research beforehand.
But, once this thing is installed properly, it works beautifully, re-indexes to the same spot every time I attach it, and comes off with a twist of the wrist even once it’s a little dirty.

One of the last pieces I needed to complete my mk12 mod 1 clone. I know it’s not the AEM5 but from what I’ve read the OCM5 is quieter. I don’t have too many rounds through it yet, but it makes my mk12 pretty dang quiet.

Great product – the ICONIC/must-have SPR suppressor, lighter than the AE version. Makes my 18″ essentially hearing safe. If you’ve never used a reflex can or are unfamiliar with the collar/brake setup, I suggest looking into the NFA subreddit, where Otter Creek Labs regularly posts in responses to questions. It can be confusing at first. They have also clarified the exact amount of turns you need (9-11 is ideal).

This is a very specific suppressor for a specific task. Performance is flawless, extremely quiet for a 556 can. I’m a huge proponent of specific suppressors for firearms vs do-it-all (if you can swing that). This can is perfection on the mk12.
