SilencerCo Velos LBP 5.56 Suppressor
Low back-pressure design vents gas forward, keeping your AR clean and your eyes tear-free. Its 3-D-printed Inconel 625 core is fully welded to 17-4 stainless front and rear modules for extreme toughness, yet the can stays compact at 5.98 in and 15.2 oz with a 1.73 in diameter. Average muzzle output is 137 dB on 5.56, and there are no barrel-length restrictions. The Charlie interface means it ships with an ASR mount, an internal flash-hider front cap, an ASR flash hider, plus spanner wrench and Charlie tool for instant range readiness. Definitely reduces gas to my face compared to my other 5.56 can. I’m using it on a couple 5.56 rifles and a .204 ruger varmit rifle, and it just makes the shooting experience more enjoyable. Add an adjustable gas block and upgrade the buffer spring and you’ll be set.

The Velos is a bit of a chungus compared to my Saker 556K, but it’s well worth it. Noticeable recoil mitigation and sound suppression, but most importantly (being wrong-handed) no gas in the face. The Saker has been relegated to the back of the safe.

I got this to replace the Hybrid 46 I had been using on my 5.56 SBR. Despite the Velos being a low back-pressure can, the sound control was good. Other flow-through type cans I’ve heard have focused too much on the flow-trough aspect and not on the sound control side of things. The Velos SIGNIFICANTLY reduced gas blowback. If the Hybrid 46’s gas blowback was say a 10 on a scale of 1-10, the Velos I would rate at a 3 or even a 2. It’s that good. The one and only negative I find on the Velos is the weight. “She thicc” as the kids would say. The Hybrid was too of course and the fact that you’re hanging that off the end of the gun compounds the problem but, you do know that going in. I am enjoying a MUCH more pleasant shooting experience though especially as I shoot at indoor ranges most of the time.

Great LBP can! Meaningfully less gassy than both my Sandman S and Huxwrx HX-QD 762. Great sound suppression as well. Very happy with the suppressor, especially on 556.

As a left handed shooter and an owner of an over gassed Daniel Defense this thing kicks gas! No more watery eyes but you do get the smell every now and then. I’d say it’s worth it!

The SilencerCo Velos LBP is a good suppressor. The sound level was good. The Charlie ASR mount on mine must have been an old version as it did not look like the pictures in the add. I had to contact SilincerCo about adjusting it but they were good helping with the issue.

This is a great suppressor, and having run it across both piston and DI rifles with 10.5, 14.5, and 16 inch barrels it has suppressed incredibly well with no gas to the face when firing.

I was under the impression that this silencer would reduce the noise more than it does. It basically makes my AR15 sound like a .22cal. Still louder than I thought $1600.00 would buy. Not happy with this purchase and product.

Very quiet on the shooters end. Locks up nicely and no issues with carbon lock. Definitely helps re direct the gas out of my face. For reference I have used this mostly indoors to this point on a piston upper.

Some might complain about the weight, but my rifle remains well balanced plus the weight reduces the very small amount of recoil I have left. Hats off to The Silencer Shop for always making the process super smooth! And my dealer The Sports Center in Natchez,Ms were incredible. From time of purchase to in hand was 20 days. Beats the shit out of a year. The ATF still sucks btw!
