This can completes my 14.5 build. I think from here on out the K cans are gonna be my go to. My AAC SDN6 is my first can and it’s a beast so I wanted to try a short light can. Im very impressed with the fit and finish and the mounting system surefire has is way better than the 51T from AAC.

This product is a relatively bomb-proof approach to suppressing .223/5.56. Difficult to screw this system up and it’s highly rugged in its design, I love it. Definitely priced high but if you prefer a pedigree, you get what you pay for. Gets quite toasty after little usage but its reduction in signature is quite alright for a smaller suppressor.

5.56 is loud, so why hang a huge silencer on the end for just a bit more reduction? The Mini 2 tames the flash and sound without too much back pressure. It’s tough as nails, too, like all Surefire products.

Running this on a 14.5 and it works awesome. Poi shift is minimal and returns to zero, it’s tough an rugged. Socom picked surefire for a reason!

They made the iconic RC2 into a smaller format. The Mini2 runs well and is built to last. If you’ve owned an RC2, this is a shorter RC2.

Overall this is an excellent suppressor for longer rifles. Currently this can is being run on my 14.5 BCM. This suppressor did not make the gun much longer overall and did not greatly disrupt the balance of the rifle. My only negative is that it is a bit on the gassy side – your mileage may vary based on the weapon system you use or if you have an adjustable gas block. That being said, highly recommend it for a fighting rifle. Plus, it just looks good too.

It’s an old design in the grand scheme of suppressors and a known quantity which can actually be a good thing. What that means is proven reliability and you know what you are getting when you buy an RC2 series can. There’s no mystery here.
The quality as is expected superb but that’s just standard surefire, to be expected and you know if there are issues they will address them.
Is it expensive given all the flow through options you can get under $1000? Sure but I challenge you to find a more bulletproof can in terms of durability. That is the reason you buy this can.
If you want a can that will outlive what you are putting it on this is the can. There are stories of 80k+ round count cans floating around from the SOCOM series.
It truly is a buy once cry once kind of suppressor although not as light as far as new 3D printed titanium options that exist now.
Sound suppression on a 556 is what you would expect, not hearing safe but that is not the goal. The goal with this can is overall signature reduction which it does exceedingly well. Flash mitigation, dust kickup, sound obfuscation, etc are all outstanding.
Additionally you can get this can hot without fear unlike some other lightweight options. That is the trade-off with this old tech. It’s a throwback to my GWOT days where things were just different and you can experience that for yourself with can. It certainly at a minimum checks a nostalgia box.

This was well worth it, if you want a tank for a suppressor, get an socom series suppressor.
Felt great on a 10.5in barrel, easy to maneuver around corners without adding too much length

Great choice for 1st suppressor, wait time was only about 3 weeks since the can had to be ordered but overall very happy. Currently it is on a PSA Sabre M4A1-II using a surefire warcomp and it is a little gassy when shooting strings more than about 6 rounds but paired with geissele super 42 H2 and radian SD handle it seems to be pleasant enough.
