Staying with the benefits of the original, the Gen2 Ultra 9 CB is constructed of durable lightweight titanium. The material and construction provide superior strength to weight ratio and increased maneuverability. This Gen2 version is designed in a tubeless model, with baffles linked directly and no separate tube fully welded with a 360-degree configuration. Crafted with light titanium, the Ultra 9CB weighs a mere 10 ounces, which increases its overall maneuverability. The muzzle brake is included but shipped separately.
In addition, the CB designation refers to Thunder Beast’s compact brake mount—a thread over muzzle brake-type setup—which is an extension of their popular Ultra line of suppressors. To that end, this unit is ideal for .300 Blackout rifles, so put it to the test at the gun range! With said CB mount, the suppressor mates to a conical shoulder on the brake and locks extremely tight for rock solid POI repeatability. Via a simple factory service operation, this suppressor also has the flexibility to be changed from a CB mount to a direct-thread configuration, just in case you prefer that setup. Undoubtedly, the Thunder Beast Ultra 9CB offers versatility in a precision and long-range option!

This was my first suppressor. I put it on my 6.5 PRC and man I am hooked! It’s lightweight, beautiful fit and finish, and tames the rifle down to an unsuppressed .22

For what this suppressor costs, my expectations were extremely high and I was not disappointed. So far I have shot 80 rounds of Sierra Matchking 220gr HPBT and Hornady Subsonic 190gr HP through my 300B SBR with an 8″ barrel. I experienced no malfunctions and the Thunderbeast worked so well that bolt cycling and steel ringing at 100 yards were the loudest noise. The adaptor brake fit on easily using crush washers and I’m excited to get one for my bolt action .308 to really test how quiet things can get. This is a review based on just a single range trip, but so far, I’m very pleased.

I bought the .30 cal version and have tested it on a 6.5 cm bolt action. Sounds fantastic and greatly improves recoil. No data yet on POI shift but so far love this suppressor!

This is my first quiet can. After watching many videos & getting some great advice for the guys at Franks great outdoors of Linwood Michigan. I went with the Thunder Beast gen 2 ultra cb9. I am looking forward to the reduction in decible levels. Fit and finish are top notch & high quality. The set up on my rifle was easy. I am looking forward to purchasing my next can from Thunder Beast.
