CAT ODB 718 Inconel 7.62 Suppressor
ODB 718 is the hard-use variant in CAT’s ODB line, built from Inconel 718 and tuned to keep gas down while staying durable on carbines. Choose HUB 1.375×24 or 1×16 LH QD. HUB ships with a 5/8×24 direct thread. QD ships with a Spooky 1 flash hider. Length is 6.85 inches for HUB or 7.20 inches for QD. Weight is 18.2 ounces for HUB or 19.7 ounces for QD. Diameter is 1.60 inches. CAT lists an 8 inch minimum for Inconel on 5.56, with the system optimized for 1100 to 2600 fps and built around a 16 inch AK47 pressure profile. Use the manual’s install guidance and torque mounts to 25 to 30 ft-lb. If you need lighter weight for low rate of fire, see the ODB Titanium. For duty use, high heat, or short barrels, the ODB 718 is the right pick.

The CAT ODB is one of the best suppressors currently available. Snagged the 718 to supplement my ODB Ti for use on shorter 5.56 guns, and mag dumps. I run the ODB on DI ARs, Piston Steyr AUG, and AK platform rifles. No gas tuning is required, no gas to the face, and great decibel reduction.

I wouldn’t call the ODB a value suppressor, the quality and finish are kind of rough (probably an artifact of the 3D printing process.
But to rate this thing on performance is another story. The ODB has excellent sound suppression and tone, ~especially~ on 556, i don’t think I have ever heard a better performer on 556, and this is a 30 cal can! CAT basically removed the last pleasant thing about shooting supposed (gas in the face/ eyes). I am thoroughly impressed with the ODB.

I spent quite a bit of time researching a suppressor to tame my 300 Blackout and 5.56 pistol/rifle builds and am VERY pleased with the performance of this can both in sound reduction and lack of back pressure. I own a couple other cans I use on the mentioned platforms but this CAT ODB easily outperforms them in every aspect. Out of the box this can ran flawlessly with no reconfiguration of gas blocks/buffers etc.. The hype surrounding this can is real. The sound suppression is superb, no re-tuning of your host, It’s built like a tank, no choking on gas, and looks great!! It might not be kind to the wallet, but you will not be disappointed putting a stamp on this suppressor!
