The Gemtech Mist-22 is an integrated suppressor/barrel that provides a unique shooting experience. Able to fit all standard 10/22 receivers (not takedown) and compatible with virtually any stock that accommodates a bull barrel (.92” outer diameter), the integral Mist-22 silencer is a terrific way to keep your rifle compact without adding the extra length of a standard can. To that end, it is match-grade 22LR for optimal accuracy and features a 1:16” RH twist for use with commercially available bull barrel stocks. The monocore baffle unit measures 8”, while the barrel portion is nearly 9” in length. This cutting-edge integrated silencer’s absolute sound level is an amazing 114 dB. Awesome, right?

If concerned with disassembly/cleaning pitfalls, think again. Typically, the shroud can be removed by hand to access the monolithic baffle core for general maintenance, but a strap wrench can also be used for extra leverage (just in case a cleaning was missed between trips to the gun range). Moreover, Gemtech treats this suppressor’s core with C3 Technology, resulting in a smooth finish that prevents lead buildup. Simple enough.

Gemtech Mist22 is all it is advertised to be. Subsonic rounds fly true and quietly. The only sounds are the hammer falling and the round hitting. Hearing safe, I can recommend this silencer.

This is an awesome “Stealth” Suppressor. I got it so that I can shoot 22LR while sounding like it is a BB gun and all the while not yelling “suppressor”. I also have a 22LR SilencerCo SPECTRE II, and I think I like the GEMTECH a bit better. The only downside of the GEMTECH is that you can not move it from gun-to-gun like you can with the SilencerCo SPECTRE II.
For reference, I have the old Ruger 10/22 stock and barrel in the pictures below. It gives you an idea of the GEMTECH barrel/suppressor combo compared to the regular Ruger barrel. When buying the GEMTECH it will require purchasing a new stock; I selected the 0.920″ Hogue OverMolded Ghillie Green stock. As you can see from the photos this looks AWESOME!!! I cannot tell you how much I love my 10/22 now that I have the integral suppressor on it.

Awesome suppressor, Amicks did a great job of putting the suppressor on my 10/22 since had the time. Took eight months to get tax stamp. Which is not Silencer Shop or Amicks fault. Purchased another suppressor in later October and received that tax stamp first, in five months. Have purchased a few suppressors from Silencer Shop and they make this process very easy.

The suppressor is very quiet but it gets very dirty and will make taking it apart almost impossible after only 50-100 shots. Unscrewed my cover this weekend and the pin they use to pin it to the barrel, came out. I cleaned everything up and “red loctited” the suppressor back to the barrel and replaced the pin. I then had to file the head of the pin down so that the cover would slide back over it. I’m impressed with the performance but the quality is a little less than I thought it would be

Very accurate very quiet even with standard velocity ammunition good fit with receiver. Be ready for a long wait if you are putting it in a trust !!

The suppressor had been returned twice for repair. It is still in repair since Jan 28. They lost my paperwork then they found it. It was repaired and ready to ship then it wasn’t. Still waiting because parts are in order. Today is april 16!
Original defect with the suppressor was the barrel did not line up with the receiver so the bullet would not chamber. The slot for the ejector was cut wrong so shell couldn’t be ejected.
I am thoroughly disgusted with Smith and Wesson/ Gemtech.
I wish there was a way to get my money back.

It does it’s job as it should. No problem with installation.
It stays together with no problem of the cover “walking off”. The only thing I notice is that because of the length of the cover I can hear the cover “clanking” ( for lack of a better term) in the middle when I handle the firearm. Would be nice to have another o- ring in the middle to midigate this.
As a whole this suppressor functions well.
